@Donnyd21 The Saturn could have dropped to second too. I have mine tuned so it redlines @7200 rpm and second gear gets to just over 70mph. Even if the corvette drops to second i think the outcome would still have been the same. Not hating on vette's though. They are fast as hell and you gotta mod the hell out of an ion to beat it. I can beat base model vette's in mine but ZR1's have me beat all day.

You guys are morons, seriously. We both started in third. Low in the RPM for both of us so the gearing was not an advantage. On S/C + N20 I made more torque by 3500rpm than that Vette did by 4000rpm or at all period. I got the jump and with about the same power, stayed ahead. You can count the lines, but look at the green 1/10 mile markers on the side of the road. By the end of the video it takes about 2.5 seconds to get from one to the next. You do the math. Over 200ft/sec, or 140mph.

I believe this is true as well, I just raced a built redline that had 302 whp w/o nos and he said about close to 500 whp while spraying nos. I raced him with my stock 2006 zo6 two times from a 55 and 65 roll and I only put about 2 to 3 car max. Redlines car be really fast with good taste in mods.

The gearing of the vette gives it the disadvantage, it can reach almost 50mph in 1st gear, so in 3rd is probably at around 3k rpm which is out of his powerband. The redline owner already said that his car weights about 2900lbs.

Just some B+G lowering springs. The thing that makes the car look REALLY good with no wheel gap is running 245/45R17 Nitto NT555R tires on it all around on 17x8 rims. Yes they fit 100% with absolutely no rubbing.

And since you are all knowing, you realize that your "24lb" fuel injectors would be running about 150% duty cycle to keep up with 440whp. You should probably invest in some 42lbers instead ;-) Also, all of that air flowing into your "big" engine is flowing through a throttle body that's smaller than the STOCK one on my 4-banger.
