These SRT-4s are quick little buggers. I don't know why everyone hates them so much. It's not a "rice" vehicle like many claim it to be. The engine has some serious performance from the factory and with a few bolt-ons they become a very fast vehicle. I'm more of an LS1, SRT-8, Mustang kind of guy. The LS9 Camaro is a serious performer too, but I would definitely get one of these if I could find a decent price on someone selling one.

I love the mustang and srt4 argument lol. I have an 05 stage 2 full bolt on srt-4 and mustangs suck. First off, yes the neon does have a turbo, but the stock turbo on an srt is the size of your fist "literally" and it's a 4 banger. The mustang has 4 more cylinders. And all these people saying they beat srt's with their "built" mustangs. Good job,I'm glad it takes a built mustang with a supercharger/ turbo to beat a fucking neon.

ive never seen an srt 4 that could even come within 2 seconds of me in the 1/4 mile. and the srt 4 runs mid to low 14s at BEST from the factory WITH a cold air intake. i have 3 friends with these cars and they all love them, but my gt always smoked them off the line, and everywhere after. no comparison to my 2v. oh yea, and its built now with a kenne bell 2.6h. 720rwhp on the way.

mine is an 04 GT..I have drove alot faster than my GT..I had an 05 Mini Cooper S that was faster 0-80 and I was looking at 04 S/C Cobra that was sick...My uncle has a 6.0 GTO that is sick...All of those would blow my mustang out of the water..i dont really concern myself with the size of the motor and all that crap..I just like fast cars 4cyl, 6cyl or 8cyl it really doesnt matter..I just hate people who get on here and talk crap specifically about mustangs just because they dont like mustangs

For the price of the cobra you better walk on it. How about this. Take a SRT-4 at msrp - $20k. And then take a Mustang cobra at msrp - depending on year $25k - $47k. Now to match the prices, put $5k - $27k in add ons to the srt-4. If you're lucky, you might still see the srt's tail lights off in the distance.
