You think this version is sad, you ought to hear the version that his daughter made with him singing this beautiful song and the Ghetto as well. I've known of this song for many, many years and from the first time I heard it to this day it still brings me to tears to hear it. The other three songs that Elvis recorded that were written by Mac Davis were "A Little Less Conversation", "In The Ghetto" and "Memories". Mac Davis hosted his very own music TV Show for a couple of years back in the 1970's and my parents have attended one of his concerts.
