They destroyed 3 specially prepared crash cars (basically a rollcage with some DBS body parts glued onto it). The 2 normal cars they are driving around in were custom built by Aston Martin specially for this movie, as the DBS wasn't a production car yet. Those cars are worth much more than a regular DBS, and weren't destroyed. Look at the pictures in the end, the crashcar doesn't really have an interior, just the DBS seats.

Oh man... I saw this in the theatre when the movie first came out... I was so excited to see the DBS was about to see some action, then BAM, 30 seconds into the drive sequence, FLIP and CRASH. I just did not see that coming. The whole audience was just as shocked as I was... all crying out in pain watching that poor car flip out of control. That's one painful sequence to watch. But hey, nice pics at the end of the wreckage. Looked like it was about to go up on ebay or something. :-)
