Ibuypower gets bad reviews all the time with all the broken computers they ship out. Type in Ibuypower reviews in google, and go through it if you don't believe me. I actually learned of Ironside, the company who built my computer, man can I tell you they did an amazing job!!!! I'm mostly happy that It booted up without any problems. You can check them at IronsideComputers(dot)com
I was wondering, im buying a 439$ Gaming computer from Ibuypower, i was wondering tho if this site is legit, and how do i check its avilablity? because i really hope this is available till december (my bday) so i can get a new computer, im looking at the AMD Athlon II DDR2 Configurator,
@LONELYHEART202 i was looking at that computer and it turns out to be just oever 800 dollars after u get everthing decent for it (windows 7 which is an extra 100 dollars, a decent monitor etc)
lol @ the music. And yeah, I ordered from IBuyPower on friday, got charged on my credit card this past monday, I'm now just waiting for my system, I hope everything turns out ok :S
Nope, no liquid cooling. I didn't get it cause I heard it can be a pain to clean and that it should be cleaned at least once a year I believe.
My set up did not come with any overclocking options but my computer works just fine at max settings for just about every game I've thrown at it, so it's not all that important to me. Maybe I will try that with a new rig in the future. For now, I'm happy with what I got.
Oh and there was a serious backorder on Liquid Cooling, so I chose not to go with it to get my computer faster, which it did come in the 2 week period I was expecting.
ive been thinking about buying an ibuypower, but from teh research ive done on them, there seems to be really mixed reviews from customers... I hear great things about them, and very bad thingas also. Is this a good computer? would you reccomend ibuypower? Is everthing still working fine? thanks and sorry for all the questions :P
No worries about the questions, I don't mind answering :) As far as my experience went, after I purchased the PC, I was really worried because I read all of the BAD stuff people wrote in about iBuypower. That was pretty much laid to rest when everything arrived ok. I am happy to say that after nearly 6 months of use, I've had no problems at all with the hardware of the PC. Any software problems I may have had were more than likely my fault lol
I have to say that I am very pleased with my PC. Would I purchase from iBuypower again: definitely. Would I recommend to everyone: no. It depends on a persons character. If you're the type who jumps to conclusions, I would send you off to alienware where they have less customizable parts, but a faster process. If you're willing to wait, have more options, and give iBuypower a chance, I would recommend them.
Nope, I just did the standard wait on the computer. For the actual delivery I did fedex 2nd day. No need to rush for these things, you just waste more money and who knows if they have all the parts in stock for your computer. It's safe to say, you're going to be waiting a little while to get your computer, so you may as well save the rush money and wait it out. Patience is a virtue lol
Well the oldest unreal game I have is unreal tournament 2004 and it plays fine. As far as anything else, I wouldn't know for sure. I do hate the whole compatibility issue with vista onward. There are some great games I wish I could play but can't because of the OS. grr lol
My apologies for not keeping up with updates on this computer, but I have to say that I've been enjoying it very much. I added an extra 1tb hard drive, but it looks like I already need more space since I'm down to 198gb. Other than that, I've been having a blast on this computer. I'll see about doing an update video sometime. Thanks to everyone for your comments ^^
@snapplejacksabc So far I've had no problems whatsoever and can even play Crysis at high settings without lag. It's not the maker of the computer, it's the parts of the computer that you get. Just to name a few games I run at max settings with minimal to no lag: Splinter Cell: Conviction Crysis Mass Effect 2 Dragon Age: Origins Red Faction: Guerrilla Assassin's Creed Fallout 3 Grand Theft Auto IV Burnout Paradise: The Ultimate Box I have a lot more games than that, but all of those run great
There was just a bag full of manuals for the motherboard, graphics card, etc. Backup install disk, some cables for vga, power cord, ramps to slide in extra hard drives and Tuniq thermal compound (which I added to the order)
that looks amazing. I will definately call to see what they have on backorder and stuch becasue I head about that problem too. I am planning on a 2400$ gaming monster with the best amd processor available and crossfire ati radeon hd 5770s and a 1000 watt power supply. It is the HAF case. Im looking too far in the future im not getting the money for another year or so :P.
the fan will be a dark knight becasue i dont trust water cooling. there is more but my comment characters are running out .
@jackpwnage117 i know but amd is cheaper. I can get a 6 core amd cheaper than a 4 core intel. anyways I started building on my comptuer already and I did go with intel i7 940 (because I got it cheap like 170$). It will be a nice computer 6gb ram, i7, maybe corsair h50 but im still afraid of water, crossfire msi 5770, 80gb ssd, 1 dvd drive, 1 fan controller, maybe blue haf case idk (only on newegg), and 1000w kingwin psu. and some more but yeah im building myself not buying from ibuypower.
@wesley5138 In total it took about 2 weeks and 3 days to get to me from the time I ordered it. Now, many people on IBP have not been so lucky. Some have ordered the same day as me and are still waiting. I think since I did not get the free liquid cooling upgrade, my computer came faster since I hear that the liquid cooling has been back-ordered. Not sure if that's the case now though.
@MetalPower86 Hey, no problem! I just hope that if you do order through there, you call first to see if they are back-ordered on any materials you're trying to get, and THEN place your order, that way you won't run into long build times. I didn't do it that way myself, but after reading what was going on, I really should have. I got pretty lucky though =P
@SubinaTub Sorry I didn't keep it in, but there were just some things I said that was wrong, so I decided to remove it to keep most of the video intact.

How much did it all cost you? With the pc, screen, keyboard etc??
Also do you prefer amd over intel?

Total it cost me $1350 to include the monitor. I did not get a keyboard, mouse or speakers because I already had them.
I really don't have a preference over AMD or Intel, I just got the AMD cause it was much cheaper than the Intel.
