haha. i am a former diehard metallica fan. in the days of master of puppets, garage days re-revisted, justice, and such, but they havent put out anything decent in over a decade. metallica, in my book, should be opening up for Gojira, because if Gojira id allowed to put on THEIR live show, there wld be no energy left for metallica. ive seen metallica live 5 times, all great shows, but their energy just dsnt compare to the live Gojira experience

Notice how they they are putting less effort into building a stage and putting on a good show with good lighting and good flow, and charging more for admission to Metallica shows. It seems so wrong, the setup. The energy. Metallica needs to think a lot more about the energy and execution of their live shows. That said; i love them and Gojira, great bands.

dude Jean michel acts fuckn funny on stage. He is so into the live performance. One of the best bassist ever just because of that. He gets everyone to go crazy. Watch him go crazy at 6:00. Huge part of this band. Great 5 string fender bass.

they opened for the first time for metallica in arras (france) in august 2008 if I'm correct. No doubt the 4 horsemen discovered them at this special occasion. I'm not a gojira fan but when I knew my favorite band endorsed a french band for opening them for their second part of us tour, I was really proud. It was high time for people from everywhere to know that good metal bands are not exclusively coming from USA, UK and Germany. French metal scene is very weak, that band needs big support.

They also played Vacuity (Way of all flesh), The Heaviest Matter of the Universe (Mars to Sirius) and Oroborous (way of all flesh). Too bad the sound was dog shit. But they were still awesome!
