  • It does suck I know how you feel

  • @PGMEagle The best thing to do is study about it and learn how to cope. That is what I do

  • i suffer from anxiety, both depersonalization and derealization disorder, and depression. one of the main things that helps treat these things is writing songs. if anyone has the time, i made a song about anxiety, and depression called "The Last Breath of Despair". anyone interested its in my channel.

  • I never knew you suffered too from this, I have suffered since prob around as earliest as 2005/2006.

Its so hard to deal with. I feel for others that also deal with this. Hugs.

  • Yeah it is a battle to deal with everyday. keep on keepin on~

  • Sudden loud noises from kids or other sources can trigger one for me too!

  • I think it is from past trauma

  • I have 2 videos about anxiety attacks on my site. Check'em out. Thanks!

  • ok will do~

  • i totally understand what you're talking about. i've had them for a long time. mine usually happen when i'm driving. not a good feeling at all. ST2 was a huge step for me ;)

  • Yeah that is when my mom would get hers...Well I am glad you were there.

  • me too ;)

  • Although I don't suffer with that regularly, I have had them before...and it DOES suck. I think it's great that you are talking about it though.

    Love ya bunches!

    ~Kev

  • I think it does help to talk about it and it can help others not feel alone.

  • I dont have those issues most of the time but there have been a few times that I have felt that way at TJs clinic. I understand a lot about these issues I have many friends who suffer from the attacks and they are not fun. I wish you the best at learning to cope with them as much as possible. HUGS xoxo

  • thanks Peggy and I hope that never becomes a problem for you...hugs~

  • Dawn I know what your talking about, I have them myself, but medication helps.

  • yes it does...

  • i started having panic attacks a few years ago and have no idea how it all came about, i'm not able to deal with it but i am trying. i can identify with being out and about alone. i stay at home as much as possible. thank you for doing this video and sharing your experience. it's comforting. :)

  • your welcome... I say find out as much as you can about how to deal with it so you can have a better life...Live in the moment...hugs

  • Dawn I am so sorry you have this problem because you seem like such an outgoing person... I am glad you are learning to control it..

  • I am pretty outgoing to my friends . I jsut do not like crowds.

  • The first time I did caricature drawing for a large event I felt that way. I wasn't used to "performing" in front of a large group and it made me sweat! I just took a deep breath and told myself to get over it, they're not likely to be carrying rotten veggies to pelt me with! The people were kind and receptive which really helped!

  • It does help when people are nice...

  • I totally understand this! I have a bout on depression issues... The other day I got a rube comment from some young jerk and it sent me back to bed, ruined my day and it got worse...

I know that having your friends understanding, is the key to get through it. Cheers! Rad

  • Friends that understand do help...

  • Good for you for working to get through your attacks and getting an understanding of them!

  • Oh yeah if you do not get a hold on it ,It will get its hold on you. so yeah Im learning....

  • It is so interesting to me upon getting to know people on You Tube and Stickam that we are all alike in so many ways. Dawn you are not alone in this. So many people have panic attacks everyday. Some are our friends.

    Great Video!

    Brandie

  • Thanks Brandie... It is amazing how many people suffer from this...

  • I, also have panic attacks hate them still av them trying to get help but I learned how to deal with them

  • Yeah there are a lot of things you can do to get through them...If one is really bad I get a cold rag and put it on my face, neck and arms ...it kind of shocks me back to reality.

  • I hear about so many people that suffer from this...I'm so sorry you are one of them! It's great that you are learning how to deal with it...I agree...dealing with it and getting through it is a big step! :-) I don't have attacks so I don't really know what it's like to be in one, but I have seen people I know have them. *hugs*

  • Thanks Cay...That is one reason I love YT . I can make vids and make YT friends with out going anywhere...hehe

  • Ah Dawn I can identify with you 100%. I've battled panic disorder for so long. To a point of having full blown agoraphobia and not leaving the house for a year! That was about 20 years ago. I got into group therapy where they teach relaxation techniques and how to 'float' through an attack. Thankfully the past several years have been good. There are meds you can take on a daily basis instead of after the attack that really work well. PM me if you wish.

  • Thanks so much Nancy for commenting and I will contact you...Hugs~

  • I know exactly what your talking about - i've been there. Couldn't even breathe with my panic attack. You have my number feel free to call me whenever.

  • Aww you are sweet ...you will have to give me your no. again...

  • im with you. i need to have a friend with me if i go out.

i write letters to keep my mind & hands occupied so i dont spaz in waiting roooms. so far it has helped allot. now in the grocery store or shopping in general i have more trouble. i tend to walk around slower and check out more things just to look at prices and keep my mind occupied. that and as much as it is uncomfortable smiling at people and making small talk can be beneficial. as unfomfortable as it is it helps.

    xoexo

  • Yeah I do that too. when I smile it makes others smile and that makes me feel better.

  • Just wondering, how fast-acting is Adavan, and have you ever tried any other medications for anxiety?

  • 30 40 min

  • Thanks. 30-40 minutes seem like a lifetime when you are going experiencing an attack. Have you tried others. How do they compare?

  • (Just a stranger out exploring)

Wow how we're all so different! I love being "alone" in a big group of people. I have never had anxiety attacks - and they sound very scary, and I think you're right - getting THROUGH one and knowing what to do! Love the (matching) earrings. Hang in there!

  • I love being alone at home for a while each day with no one to bother me. I think it has something to do with me having Post tramatic stress disorder...the silence does me good.

  • Yeah you can't beat alone time!!! The older I get the more I LOVE alone time!!!!

  • Wow Dawn, this was great, thanks for sharing this with us.

Your getting good at this vlogging thing!!

  • Well I am trying to do it old school with no editing...Thanks ~
