  • the release of mandel from prison put paid to the careers of many a nigerian musicians, in those days, the only theme was "free mandela" and when he was eventually released, they lost the plot.

  • Man thats horseshit and u know it. Mandela's incarceration as a music theme was far more than just lyrics due to a lack of better inspiration.I can assure u. U stop hearing mandela songs bcos he got released n the war was won. so pls. Listen to all majek's songs and u'll know u must eat ur words cos he never lacked inspiration for lyrics. U either remove ur post or apologize to legends like majek who helped create the awareness that brought the victory. I pity SA for killing fellow africans now

  • NIGERIANS spilled their blood for teh free dom of SOUTH AFRICA, LIBERIA, SIRRE LEON, CONGO DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC, BURMA, ZIMBABWE etc. However today, there is an International conspiracy to sidetrack Nigeria. So long as GOD is ALIVE, It shall fail!

  • I agree with the first sentence of your comments. But the conspiracy part? nah I'm not a conspiracy theorist. I believe we are the cause of, and solution, to all our of problems. Cheers.

  • why would you say a thing like that. u know the truth

  • Thank you NIGERIANS for fighting for SOUTH AFRICA. It is a pity South Africans do not respect you guys

  • This is truly touching & inspiring. South Africans r truly ashamed of the ill treatment towards fellow Africans. I hope that things will improve but understand that these 'ignorant' Saffas who're commiting these crimes, r frustrated by the influx of foreign nationals. I also believe that SA is not ready & developed enough to meet the needs of all. Hopefully, the governement will learn from Western & other African countries on how to cope with immigration. God bless.

  • Nigeria really stood by south africa to fight the apartheid...This song did a lot men, just like the other Nigerian, Sunny Okosun's....'Free Mandela' Majek wherever you are, you are a true African broda and all your songs bring back lofty memories....Best african reggae export

  • thanks for having a memory, unlike some South Africans who kill fellow Africans who run to their country to escape cruel governments.

  • @uteme12345

Most African countries stood up for South Africa.

  • @tybash Yeah you right.......

  • Being looking for this song - brings back good childhood memories. Majek Fashek still the best reggae artist Nigeria & Africa as a whole ever had.
