Great video, and a wonderful song, perfectly capturing that feeling of wanting to be around someone so much, but stopping yourself because you know you'll only end up hurt again. Oh boy, have I been there.
I've just dipped in and out of the Grammys telecast, and had to clear my head with some real music before retiring.
I just noted my comment from two years ago (!), and I realize that I didn't give LadyDay her due... Her voice is almost gone here, but her musicianship, taste, soul, and humanity are unsurpassed.
(I just remembered what brought me here: Streisand on the Grammys singing "Evergreen," Voice in decline, musicianship intact. Reminded me of Lady Day.)
thank you so much for this...,you listen miss stafford...,miss wain...,miss whiting...,miss carr,miss forrest...,miss horne...,miss day...,etc,please drop me,o.k.

@tuxguys In '55 her voice had lost some, but her phrasing was spine-shivering, and the smaller combos allowed her voice to caress the mike.

Hi Startac, this is most likely to be Lester Young. They enjoyed working together.
