No real surprise here. There is a general agreement between all the motorcycle manufacturers to limit the speed to 186mph. I can't find any references to this other than a mention by Cycle World, "From 2001 on, the 'Busa and the ZX-12R, and now the ZX-14 and the BMW K1200S, were governed to an anemic 186 mph." I don't believe it is a government enforced rule - if so, it would be a silly one as the level limit is what 60, 65, 70mph for most states. A few bikes will push 200 but others are limited
can't go wrong with the famous jap brands...Honda ,suzuki,yamaha,kawasaki,any korean or chinese bikes should be avoided...i prefer honda myself as ive always owned honda.

Great video! I agree about riding that fast esp. at night though. I took my Hyabusa up to 200 mph once (and only once) and got stomach chills so bad that I literally pissed my pants. Never again.
wow i own a 05 1000rr that i have been 150mph on. dont think ill try 185 but that was topped out u can see the orange rev limit light come on ( the light inside the tach.)
i think suzuki must be on the majority of street bikes magazines payroll they never haver anything bad to say, i love how some like to say "the gsx1000 can beat a f-16" well stock to stock my buddies zx10 eats them for breakfast, all in all i stick with kaw. and honda never cared for the gixxer nor the r6 had both and never was i impressed
yamaha and honda make the best 600s right now, well at least from what mags say, i have only ridden an 05 gsxr600 and an 06 cbr600, theres only really slight differences that can easily be made up by skill, and ya the zx10 ninja was always the most powerful 1000 but, that was like a year ago, its different now.
