social anxieties have repressed us into being "grossed out" at the thought of same sex relationships. the same can be even said in the reverse situation. A person that is truely free of sexual insecurities would not feel one way or the other

Lol seems you haven't been answered... IMO it's not that simple: not all straight men (or women) would be disgusted by kissing another person of the same gender, they just wouldn't enjoy it (not in the same way they'd enjoy kissing someone of the opposite gender). Same goes for gay people... just reverse the genders.
