Humans colonised Sera and over the years they waged their own wars and sapped the planet of it's resources. The Locust actually acted fairly restrained, under the circumstances. They eventually had enough of taking shit from humans and decided to take revenge.

Gears of War's 2 multiplayer lacked in comparison to the first (because of network problems, me and all of my friends left and didn't bother coming back after it was fixed) but the campaign was just as good as the first. I personally can't wait for Gears 3!
