  • It's the timer counting off before it goes into defrost...lol

  • sounds like control voltage drop when the compressor contactor pulls in, the voltage drops below coil pick-up value and drops out, control voltage rises and the contactor pulls in again. It did this a few times before actually starting, id say weak control transformer or bad connection somewhere in the control circuit wiring...... possibly low voltage on the main entering the residence..... but not so likely....

  • My aunt has Ruud Achiever 10 straight-cool A/C unit (not a heat pump) and a Ruud oil furnace, both from 1987. Very good unit.

    What year is this one?

  • @classifiedinfo the sticker i saw in the video says it was made 07/92 and in the model it says itz a 2.5 ton (30,000 BTU's = 2.5 ton.)
