My Shingles:

Day 1-2 joint/nerve pain in right Shoulderblade area, fatigue.

Day 3-4 shingles rash developing under my right armpit from right nipple to right shoulderblade. Went to see doctor, Famciclovir prescribed.

Day 5 Rash becomes "bubbly",feel fatigue.

Day 6-7 pain in the joints gone, mild fever (37.2C) and sever migranes. (Not really sure what causes migranes, Shingles or Famciclovir).

Im at day 8 right now. Still have a bubbly rash,no fever,migrane or fatigue.Hope to get better.

I have shingles right now, on my forehead, scalp and eye. It's painful, depending on your pain tolerance. My eye itches and my forehand feels like it is being pricked by a thousand needles, oh yeah i look like the toxic avenger. i would not wish this on my worst enemy!!!

I had a shingle out break at the age of 7 now at the age of 17 i believe i'm haveing another outbreak I go to see the dermatologist tomorrow i'm praying that its not but i have had outbreaks on and off every other week for the last 3 months there is no pain but it itches it has been on both thighs also on my arms and in my groin area so im not completely sure if it is shingles and I had blood test for genital herpes and it came back negative thankfully I have not gotten it on my face

I have Shingles at the moment yet I have never had Chickenpox. I would also not describe it as 'agony'. Uncomfortable yes, but certainly not agony.

I've totally had shingles twice. I got chicken pox when I was 2 weeks old from my older sister and then got shingles when i was two months old, and had shingles AGAIN when I was around 6-7. it sucks so hard. To everyone that currently has it, I feel your pain, man.

@hevydevy2112 I'm sorry to hear you have shingles recurring. I am having a hard time with it too. Notice the doctor in the video says "FOR THE FAST MAJORITY OF THE PUBLIC. SHINGLES WILL NOT REOCCUR"...umm, yeah, what about the minority of those who do have it reoccur? It's hard getting a doctor who wants to treat me, unless i wait til i get a big rash. it's horrible.

maya it be of comfort to you to know I have shingles on my forehead and eye too. I was mis diagnosed as poison ivy. I was working in my yard 2 mos ago and suddenly fell ill with extremely painful headaches and then the itching and blisters ermerged. I was treated with predisone. I read if you are treated with anti viral meds you will recover faster. At 2 mos now my blisters had crusted over and now have turned pink. Shingles was confirmed by optomologist, I had a zoster on my eyelid.

wait, when she meant the majority that gets shingles will not get it aging if that is ture why not explain and give evidence to back it up. I just got shingles on my eyelid for two days third day dired up and blister over and the following day you can bearly notice now. I took acyclovir and some special tea to help rosemary & chamomille etc. (18 year old hate the virus so much i wish we can wipe it out for good.)

(I am referring to her stating that THE VAST MAJORITY OF PEOPLE WILL NOT GET IT AGAIN>) It's not true that people don't get it again, and i hate these generalized term for something that can cause blindness and deafness. @l3okingz9 You can do your own research either using the information provided on the websites of the prestigious Mayo & Cleveland Clinics. They basically state the same information she provided. Is most people, not all and. You might have had it when you were very young (toddler)

I have never had chicken pox. I am age 16. And have shingles on my lower left eyelid.. It seems I am getting everything my grandmother once had.. But for all you out there that do have it and your young.. Be lucky it is not right under your eye.. I feel like i'm getting stabbed with a knife 24/7..

WHAT A BUNCH OF CRAP! YOU HAVE TO BE 60 for the vaccine?! i'm only 20 and it's a huge annoyance! i can barely fall asleep (it's on my left side), so if i do manage to fall asleep, the pain wakes me up after like what, 3-4 hours.

She said the only way to get it is having a weak immune system and stress causing it to break out shingles. I wonder does your shingles appear back??? how bad is the scar???? how long did it last???? did ur blister ever came out pus?

@kbwa Avoid NURSE PRACTITIONERS for this condition. Anybody other than an experienced doctor, or specialist gives me BAD information. I've been suffering with Shingles since my late 20s. Most dr.s in Houston are horrible at understanding what I'm dealing with. Shingles can cause permanent damage, and they seem to forget that because they are too busy reading their MANUALS on how to be a doctor. They should have taken fluid from sores before saying that YOU are 2 young to get it!
