  • I have listened to a lot of steel string guitarists and think Robbie has far more originality. It is devoid of ego and truly curious in terms of self expression and continues to shock me with its brilliance of approach, technique and discovery. So glad I found this man's music.

  • I was also Robbie's friend - I knew him in Los Angeles in the 1970's, whenever he would come to town for a gig or two. He could be difficult and demanding and he did take his music & music-making very seriously - but he was also able to see the funny side of his working life...He had a lot of knowledge he gladly shared, and no one I know of has ever produced a comparable sound quality or music, either vocally or with the guitar. A true one-off and a lover of God & Meher Baba !

  • Robbie's true occupation was that of spiritual seeker and mystic. It propelled his music as well as his life. He was a loner, an eccentric genius, a gentleman, and my friend. God bless you Robbie wherever you may be.
