Big Boss has an eye missing (MGS1) and you play as bigg boss in in MGS3 and in that game it shows you the events that took place for him to lose his eye. In reality the difference between story books and historical books is very small. Think about where the first stories came from, they came from events that accrued in the past. Everything you buy has a barcode. Why? Because its a product. It's a consumer good, meant to be bought or sold. While I think the whole "666" bit is silly, consider the symbolism of a barcode on a human being; it demeans them, making them a product rather than an individual.
