But the important thing here is Satou wants to make sure he can go K-9e and achieve king entering. If he takes the lance, he might not be able to win after white's Gx8e and the following many checks.

After lance drop at 8a, If King takes lance at 9f, 1. P'9e 2. K9g 3. G'9f 4. K9h 5. Gx8g 6. K9i 7. P8i+ 8. Rx8i 9. B'7g and the rest are easy checkmates. I think this should be right...
