Select all of your audio tracks and hold alt+shift to add the same bus or plugins to all tracks automatically. Save time instead of manually doing each track. Search for pc shortcut commands, it helps speed up the work flow.
hey bro in the end i got lost but i got the waves so i wanted the settings for the q10 and audio track.and also below the l2 on aux 2 what is that and whats the settings.thx bro
@LastDayStudios i own my own studio. and have been contracted to work on major label artists. yes there are certain things that you should not do in recording because it just doesn't work, but if it works, than i don't see the issue with doing it? just because it isn't your technique, doesn't mean it isn't right, just a different approach. if YOU want to learn, you'll need to eventually come to understand that. also try not being a dick to people that voice and opinion. have a good one goodluck!
@beatsbyevo I never once was a dick to anyone who commented>This set-up is actually amazing, and it does work! What I learned from experience is that it was wrong, why BECAUSE I USED TO DO IT MYSELF, and was told by industry engineers that it was wrong, but after hearing the results of the music he sent me through email, its not wrong. and once again, im far from a dick, and you're lucky you werent standing face-to-face to me when you said that. you have a good one.
@EAT789FEET ever try using a compressor, then an expander, and then a limiter, that order, all on the vox? sounds great, makes it just pop right out in the mix, gunna try your method some day though to see how it sounds!
your aux is confusing . its output unto a bus that doesnt even feed into the master. The aux 2 i understand. i work with a interface and not an analog. Could you explain the aux 1 more?
One mor thing; there is another EQ in your PT arsenal called a High Pass (maybe bandpass) filter which is specifically intended for cutting out the unwanted low (or high) end rather than the one band. Its maybe better because you can select the curve at which lows are attinuated and just a bit more to the specific task.
First let me just say there are no rules to mixing and that's one of the first things you learn along with signal flow when you go to and Audio Engineering program. only thing that matters when recording and mixing and editing is creativity. What sounds good to you and what techniques you use are totally up to you. It's all about what you hear. So if this is how he mix and edit then thats what works for him. Everyone can learn from everyone and pick up some tips. There are no rules
that delay in miliseconds from compression happens to be a VERY proffessional technique .... fuck them haters brotha, they do too much readin an not enough listening!
@MrBarbwireProduction how bad do you want to reach your goal? If you think everything is handed to you in life than think again. I gave you all this video, please stop being lazy and set it up yourself
I have M-Audio Fast Track MKII,and this program give me this : "Unable to locate Digidesign hardware.Make sure you hardware is connected and turned on.CLICK"OK" whan the hardware is ready." and he is ON.,Pro Tools SE and M-POWERED works, but this... dosen't.
Great stuff man!!! Really interesting approach, i never thought of setting things up the way you do. I'm listening to To Daddy right now, fucking incredible man.. Can't believe your only 18 too, jeez... I'm 24 with about 6 yrs of experience and my stuff isn't even this tight! Keep up the great work, and thanks for the help!
aye dis video is gud shiit,, im not new to pro tools im running 8 9 & 10 but im trying to learn all the tricks in mixing & Mastering.. i look forward to checkin out more of ur vids.
@nataliea8821 It doesnt matter. Thise plug ins are not changing the source file, only altering the output of the channel. Putting them on after is probably best so you can concentrate on getting the sound its best BEFORE deciding how to treat it after the fact.
@xlimitzouras666 Thank you...I listened to everyone of his songs...and they are all Hollow and Distorted...cant tell no-one nothing these days though.

@SooKuul There is actually a rule. Only 1 rule. "If it sounds good, it is good". That is assuming you have a monitor reference you can trust.

Steve, can all these effects be applied after your audio is inserted or does it have to be before? Thanks!
