akuma may have given in to the dark hadou, however is the path he chose in order to achieve the extreme and true nature of the art that they both ( Ryu and akuma) share the ansatsuken, whose meaning is the murder strike, ryu will never be a match for akuma unless he becomes evil Ryu once and for all. @RaccoonCity1998 Actually, the only true Satsui no Hadou user currently is Akuma(after he killed Goutetsu the style pretty much died). Ryu, Ken and Gouken use a different version, altered to remove all killing intents in their moves, and Ryu has often proved himself more than a match for Akuma

Once Ryu reaches the pure state of mind Gouken has achieved, or goes down the wrong path and accepts the dark hado, he'll be stronger than Akuma.
