I can't get out I'm stuck inside I have to shout There's no place to hide I'm stuck in my brain It's all in my mind I'm in myself so There's nothing to find I'm in, I'm in, I'm in Solitary confinement
roman was my dean at holmes middle school. Haha I remember him telling me how cool it was for me to go to a music middle school for recommendation. I always got in trouble at holmes though haha
there was a better faster version of this song ... i think this is a cover song?.. i want to know who did itt originally. or maybe this was live . ne ways someone hit me on this please
@ThatMiserableCat: This is great but there is no need to insult another genre of music in defense of punk. I listen to it all and there is ridiculous hip hop and fantastic hip hop, just like there is poser rock versus the real thing.
Someone needs to upload "Idle Life" my all time favorite Weirdos song; I saw the group perform many times in 1977, they were always great....and they were nice people too (unlike the twats in X.)
Oh shut the fuck up Gummybear1662, you are probably one of those TWATS who tries to start shit with everyone "only online" because god knows you're nothing but a fucking nutsack who's afraid to use you're fists in real life. And If I was to meet up with you in your neighborhood, I would probably break your fingers so you couldn't type anymore stupid bullshit on youtube! Ya fucking cunt!
ThatMiserableCat, you are too fucking right!!!!! Hiphop isn't even music, it's fucking regurgitated shitpuke!!!! This shit really does need to come back and stomp the piss outta these pop kids!!!!!
The Weirdos were one of the greatest of the LA/Punk groups of the time. Punk was DIY, without question. It also very much anit-government. I agree with you, swim.
Sorry you didn't get my meaning, before.
And , yes, I loved them, as they WERE ANTI-LEFTIST.
@ThatMiserableCat I like em too, but I think their music was only carried by their buffoon singer and neurotic drummer. But they are definitely waaaay better than the Dils.
Not only the best LA punk rock band, but one the top 5 American punk rock bands. Grossly underrated by the media and the general internet-educated public.
A little late to the discussion, but you can't really say 'punk rock' was very anti-government. Granted, the majority of punk rock bands had/have an anti-establishment or anti-government message to relay, but it's not like it was a requirement for membership in the punk rock scene. Ramones? Dickies? Dead Boys? Lots of non-political punk bands
@crankenstyne You're wrong about The Dickies. "Killer Clowns" is one of the most politically charged songs in recorded music. They play it at Ron Paul rallies.
@scottvska So one song makes them (The DIckies) a 'political' band? I beg to differ. 1% Killer Clowns and 99% You Drive Me Ape You Big Gorilla does not exactly qualify them as a band with a serious political message.
MisCat, please explain to me how the lyrics to this song are a commentary on the U.S. gov't. If anything the lyrics sound like somebody who is commenting on their OCD. Only some leftist idiot could come up with a anti-U.S. sentiment in this song. Punk was about DIY, less control, less regulation, the exact opposite of what Leftists want in this country today; more gov't inolvement: healthcare, more taxes, more regulation. etc.
LA's best, they had no equal on stage, too bad they had so many personnel issues, but this is their best line up, Denney Denny, Roman, Trout, Beat, I was sad when Cliff went to bass
This and and double A Side Neutron Bomb hit my record player late '70's and I just couldn't believe how good it sounded - I so wanted to make my guitar amp to play heavey like this and so wished I could play guitar solos in the same vein - someone else posted that The Weirdos were so talented yet gave us little material - totally agree - Come on guys if you're still out there it's never too late to give us some more!!
as one of the most underrated punk groups of the era. I miss Dangerhouse and the times; the 70's were so much more creative than most of that which passes for 'music' these days,
And, hiphop sux because it's lowlife lame,
cuz. sick stoopid duuuhhhh. beatch, sup? yo yo dumfukx
@ThatMiserableCat ... i worked on the film the Decline, and i told Penelope to definetly have the Wierdos in the film, but she said they weren't "dark" enough.
i said, i don't give a shit how dark they are,,,they fucking can blast most of your other bands off the stage. i got fired and rehired the next day.
@FlipperBabies470 yes, i knew him. and this is the worst part of that. right after we filmed the Germs at Cherokee studios in hollywood, in a room about 40 by 15 feet, i picked up the song set of 15 songs Darby had written on a big piece of paper in magic marker, with half the titles to the songs, spelled wrong. then on a depressed day, i thought it was evil to have, so i threw it out. ihate to think how much it was worth to some punk,,who's a millionaire now.
Love this band!! When they came on stage it was something else. They were well rehearsed, had an act to bring and just fucking left everyone leaving the clubs frantic by what they had just seen.
Can't believe this was '77. To have lived in this age man, fucking intense.

Wrong, New York was the birth of punk around 1972. Malcolm came to New York around 75 and took the music back to the UK to start the pistols.
