Thats becuase this thing Is really freaking high up there and maybe because when look at it Colossus looks like an ant when looking down compared to this ride.

Don't work, you only stay up there for about 5 seconds though.

when i first went on this ride i didnt know that it was one of the bigger rides..so me and my friend went and when it got to the top and dropped i was so freaking scared!! i was like wtf did i get myself into?!

Yes. All rides which only feature rises, falls and turns only require lap bars. Shoulder restraints are only required if there are inversions such as loops, corkscrews or cobra rolls.
