  • Ever notice how the show has no music except for during the animations and during the climaxes?

  • This Marvin feels more depressed. The other one was just bitchy.

  • I just noticed why is it an earthquake on another planet?

  • hang on, wasn't this as Admirals starship in the radio series? Fitlhy rotten stinking samelings changed this I am sure!

  • @fauxsham Right, it was the Haggunennon Admiral's Ship, a race whose DNA is so unstable that that far from passing their basic shape onto their children, they will quite frequently evolve several times over lunch.. Get off me you filthy sofa!

  • Thank you for sharing this : )

  • -.- Freaking rockbands....shooting us environmentalists...

  • Is that a very young Denis Leary as the announcer @5:50?

  • @chocomalk Nope, just checked imdb. His 1st bit of acting was 1987 in 'Long Walk to Forever' and is not listed in this series credits, so I doubt it as this was in 1981. It does look like him from the side, though!

  • @Windoze321

Yeah I looked into it later, he is some British actor, his name is Rayner Bourton.

  • I always loved the BBC radio production, I'm 18 and I LOVE Hitchhiker's I know where MY towel is :)

  • Is this the last episode?

  • Eh, the books will always be the best if you've got some imagination.

The movies are fun to watch though.

  • @buckfushes Nah, the radio series were the best. The books just don't have the same oomph as the original series.

  • @buckfushes Nope. The original radio play was the best by far. At the time, it was mind blowing.

  • "Property is theft - right? Therefore theft is property, therefore this ship is mine"

  • Property is theft! (French: La propriété, c'est le vol!) is a slogan coined by French anarchist Pierre-Joseph Proudhon in his 1840 book What is Property? Or, an Inquiry into the Principle of Right and of Government.

Douglas Adams did a neat job.

  • Oh my gosh. The poor Belcerabons... Geez.

  • @Guppychild17 In the book it says that when Marvin crashes the ship into the sun his improbability field, caused by the improbability drive, makes the telepathy go away and also re-generates the planet into a plant paradise.

  • I like the way the New Marvin looks. But I think this one does him more justice.

  • I agree. However I do wish he didn't speak with that sound. Makes it hard to get what he is saying.

  • This Marvin is 100x better than the new one.

  • Too right.

  • @ratedEG

Yeah I agree with you but you gotta admit that Alan Rickman did a damn good job of doing the voice!

  • @ratedEG if you've seen the film, when trillian was captured and zaphod, for and arthur went to save her, when they're waiting in line you can see the original marvin

  • @ratedEG Hey, give Alan Rickman some credit. He's a great actor. Just not quite the right guy to voice Marvin.
