  • Nice I was there today and yes there's an elevator which I don't know if u saw it but there's s hallway next to it on level one and you can see the video surveillance room.

  • These are Schindler escalators, despite the "Southpoint" brand on them. Providence Place, from other videos I have seen from there, did something similar by putting the name of their mall where the "Schindler" logo would go.

Also, Schindler escalators in malls are pretty common. Most of the time, I cannot leave a mall without finding at least one set of Schindler escalators (they actually are quite good).

  • nice escalator! Tj who invented the escalator????

  • @andersonvillas1277 according to research on google "The first patent for escalator-like machine granted March 9, 1859 to Nathan Ames of Saugus, Massachusetts for an invention that he called Revolving Stairs. His design for the escalator was far ahead of its time, yet was never built. It appears that Mr. Ames died in 1860. The earliest working type of escalator, patented in 1892 by Jesse W. Reno, was introduced as a new novelty ride at the Old Iron Pier at Coney Island NY, NY in 1896."

  • @TJElevatorfan thanks for the information! really neat!!!!!

  • Schindler. Their Traction Motor Logo above the name appears to have been removed on them.

  • I think those are Schindler as well.
