If I could pass on one thing to the up and coming generation of rollerbladers it would be... it doesn't matter how hard a trick is or, if someone can do 100 switch ups on a rail if the trick doesn't look stylish. Rollerblading can be one of the sickest things to watch when a person has style.

When I very first started skating everyone was on a Flat set up, then the cool thing became anti rocker that lasted a couple years, but then everyone went back to the flat set up beacause it made everyone's landings and style more smooth. No matter what style you skate now I think it's more important to have style and try to be smooth. I see a lot of kids today do crazy tricks, but not really with style. I would rather see a styled out soul grind anyday then a million switch ups on a rail.

hikikomoriforlife! i totally agree with you... this is from a time, style was more important in rollerblading... these days its all about squeeze your balls in tight pants and stiff legs.. not style at all... with rare exceptions... i hope rolling changes back to lifestyle instead of competition. it s not because your are wearing tight pant that you dont have style, u might not like it, but it s just different. i also prefer that good old style, jeff frederiks and shit but u have to admit that people like stokwell are tight. Rollerblading is still about style.
