My dentist referred me to an endodontic for a consultation to see if I need a root canal. I saw on their brochure they do not provide nitrious oxide. Is it gonna hurt if I am not out of it for this?

You know, I remember when I had my wisdom teath pulld. I took two valume an hour befor for my visit. About20 minutes into playing Halo #1 I relised that all I was doing was crashing into stuff. When my ride and I left I fell down a flight of stairs. I remember I didn't realy give a shit when it hapend. After The The versid and fentinale was injected to the i.v. I remember wakeing up and it being over. That is the way every dentist visit should be.
I like the ending. I have fought in Iraq throught 3 tours and ther isn't realy any thing that scaries me in this would with the exeption of the dentist. I think They are like those wooden pupits. They wait for you to fall asleep and then they rip your throte out
Always insist on a Rubber Dam when having root canal Treatment! The Rubber damn is the green sheet of rubber stretched over the tooth and held by a clamp. This stops debris, harmful substances such as Hyperchlorite and tiny files (instruments)from entering the mouth and throat.. I work in a Dental Surgery..so I know about this stuff.
They were giving him an I_V. that was the shot in the arm. The thing on his nose was to make him drowsy and sleepy. And the shot obvoiusly was to numb the mouth. Im only 12 but my dads a docter so i know about this stuff =D. Later.
actually the shot in the arm is probably just another sedative, such as valium. The thing on his nose is nitrous oxide (laughing gas). That basically relaxes you so the novacaine (shots in the mouth) works more effectively.

The only way they will ever put Novacaine in my mouth is if they at least gas me!!! I hate the Novacaine....everything about it!

I only had nitrous once. When I had my last wisdom tooth pulled. Best stuff. I could care less what was going on around me. That stuff is so awesome.
