Haha, @ 12 seconds is when you begin easing off the throttle, @ 13 seconds is when if easing off the throttle was not enough you let go of the throttle completely and apply rear brakes, @ 14 seconds it is too late and you have missed your opportunity to save your self from your own idiocy, @ 15 seconds you are rolling on the ground wishing that you had let go off the throttle when it was time to let go of the throttle and not after you have already crashed.

i can tell what happened here, as i ride and race as well. not the stock gearing, probably up 4 in the back... mainly for that quick burst. on top of alot of power and mods, even the extended swing arm(only by a few inches) couldnt keep it level. and as for not letting off, when the bike goes up and your hangin on the bars, its a bit hard to roll the throttle forward. especially if your not expecting to wheelie up

@xohnox911 that is true, but for reaction times and trying to get out of the box, that first few seconds really counts. alot of bikes in the litre class can easily pull 200+ on stock gearing. but when you adjust for a shorter ratio, you get the pull you need, while sacrificing top speed. thats why alot of people do swingarm extensions or even wheelie bars. this is just an unfortunate accident. glad hes ok

He didn't need to cluch or let go of the throttle, all he had to fucking do was hit the back brack, even if he hit it for a split second it would be enough to make the front end drop.
Do you realize when your taught to drag you keep your feet off the pegs till your ready to shift into 2nd. Its not as easy as you think it is to recover from that. Between adrenaline and panic. If he came back down it would have probably ended in a tank slapper.
However, I think the rider in this video got a stuck throttle cable. It was a long time ago and I might remember wrong but I'm pretty sure it was this video. =)
