u got a fuel pump in it i here and u should pot some dot tires on it. u can still drive it on the road but are almost like a slick. itl give it a little more traction out of the hole. sounds pretty stout. i got an 86 SS
Nice Monte, I have an 87 aerocoupe and Im debating whether I want to put racing stripes on it, it looks good on your car. And im not dissing the wheels but if you get serious about racing you'll have to loose the 20's and get some 15's, they let you use a taller sidewall which will allow the tires to hook better on launches. 20's look pretty but they are a BITCH to keep clean.
Well then I stand corrected, they looked bigger because of the thin sidewall of the tires. The overall diameter of the stock tires is 26 inches, and I was just assuming these were about the same size, which meant the rims would be about 18-20 inches, but my bad.
I know u said u have a 2 1/2" X- pipe but what brand mufflers do u have if you don't mind me asking! That MC sound devilish! Lol that's what my OG use to say!lol

@Bignutz8672 They are 17 inch foose chromes... I think they look good they are only 17 inches dude chill out. My gramps has 17s on his trans am and he's 70 year's old. Nothing wrong with a rim that size. A big rim would be like 22's or 24's...... I hate big rims but those deff aren't big rims.

0_o I have an 84 SS, and they came with 15" SS rally wheels. The stock 15" rally's look 100x better and would have kept the value to the car. Putting anything besides classic wheels on a Cutlass, Monte, or National = ghetto.

And really, 'would have kept the value of the car'? In case you haven't noticed, gbodys aren't exactly worth a lot. So changing something that can be cloted on is not really a big deal.
And from a performance stand point, keeping the factory wheels just doesn't make sense.

2. Did you replace a set of classic 15"er's with larger rims?
If you answered yes to both, than your a stereotype that reinforces the stereotypical(and factual) view of black people and their cars.
