@ ginsushark.......and that goes to show just how IGNORANT (correct spelling) you really are. Footballers don't play rugby...they play football (or soccer if you want the crappy american version).
here here 4 steps.....it's twats like this that are ruining the rockin' scene....do us all a favour and keep it to your lindy/ceroc/swing nights....keep it out of the rockin' clubs. if i see anyone doing this while i'm DJing i turn the music off....!!
and sonomaswingdaddy...if you read the posters description it tells you the artist and title...!...rant over!
Except that its not in a "rockin' club" or "scene". Do you see a smokey, dark bar here? Really? You did? Need to get your eyes checked, bloke. I'm not a fan of this line dance myself, I think its a 90s neo-swing attempt to cash in. But people are having fun, there's actually some traditional jazz movements from the Blackbottom and Charleston in there. People got to start somewhere, and doing this as a group will encourage some to go solo and REALLY do the movement.
@mackemrob1 HAHAHAHAHA YOURE FROM THE U.K. ... I KNEW IT. I keep running into ignant macho comments from UK dudes about real "Rock n ROll" - it would be like an american commenting that footballers are playing rugby wrong.
Great video 'ignatz31' shame there is not a part 2.
My rant - why can't people just have respect for each others dance styles. I refuse to be narrow minded and slate other peoples choices so I'm lucky that I love rock n roll, rockabilly and lindy hop, just enjoy the diversity that we are blessed with! Hopefully you'll see me at some of the 40s & 50s weekenders & dance clubs that I attend and I'll be the one enjoying myself!
That's because it's not rock and roll... it's lindy hop... They're both wonderful but different (although related) types of dance and you won't appreciate either if you expect them to be like each other.
@4steps2heaven you do realize that "stroll" is just another slang term for dance. its been applied to tons of dance styles probly going back to the 1800s or earlier.

Here's a new Charleston dance on Youtube called the Charelston Stampede Danced to James P Johnson's "Charleston".
