mann, i live in st.louis...i was chasing with my fam, but we saw the EF-4 tornado. the EAS broke in on the radio and i said..."ITS GOT A TORNADO WARNING ON IT AGAINNNNNNNNNN!" lol.
@aw010287 yeah, i get just as excited when the EAS comes over the radio the first WATCH thwn severe thunderstorm warnings then tornado. haha. i love chasing!
I remember one night we were traveling to an event that I can't remember what it was, anyway we were traveling, it was raining and stuff, and I was watching what I call mobile television that I built and we were listening to the radio and heard there was a Tornado Warning for St. Louis, well we drove right into the storm. We had to stop at a rest area, that tornado was only yards away, heading our way, and it seemed close. We did see some damage and sirens did sound at our destination.
@beatlemania31 lol. It was moving at 30 mph lol. Seriously though I think the strongest straight line wind gust in Indy Metro from that event was 70 mph. A weak tornado did touchdown near Wilmington, OH
@nobull2003 Yeah that area was checked by the NWS the following days. No touchdown but very low hanging scud which was quite common that evening with the storms and no tornadoes being confirmed. Only a brief EF1 tornado near Wilmington, OH was confirmed.
@terrellstorms During a Tornado Warning in the WIBC listening area, they will sound a constant alert every 15 seconds to let people tuning in know that there is a tornado warning in the listening area.
Had the warning map updated on my phone though in this case, I misinterpeted the storm that was actually tornado warned. The storm I was approaching was no longer tornado warning while the new warning was with a storm NE of Indianapolis
in north anderson got some sprinkles. south of town got the heavy rain. i know at one point in that day. it was black to my south and blue sky above me. storms had impressive structure, but as soon as night came they died pretty quick
I LOVE TO YELL TOO!!!!!!!!!!
