Lets just assume that the evolution theory is not correct, that still does not proof the existence of any god, let alone the existence of any specific god. Christians, Muslims, et cetera seem to think that as long as they can disprove certain things, that their religion becomes the truth automatically, but that is not the case. Just like the evolution theory requires evidence before it can be considered proven, so does the existence of any specific god require evidence, but there is none.

@andycjp Evolution makes no claim about the ORIGIN of life, it explains how the diversity of life evolved from other living organisms (and is probably the scientific theory that is best suported by evidence). If you don't understand this, then you don't understand evolution.
This really isn't a difficult concept to understand - many theists DO understand this, and have chosen to believe that a god created life and then it evolved (perhaps even guided by their chosen god).

@flexpape Abiogenesis has nothing to do with charality or DNA. The first cells had rudementary forms of RNA, which is enough for evolution, and can be formed from simple amino acids. Amino acids in turn can form spontaneously in several circumstances (The Miller-Urey experiment is well known for showing this).
As for evolution, again, it has mountains of evidence from several branches of science. We understand it better then gravity, or quantum mechanics which is the basis for your computer.

@flexpape Look up cdk007's channel. He explains the thermal vent theory quite well. There is also panspermia and crystal theories that have well worked out possible steps.
And labs are only needed to exclude current bacteria and other lifeforms because those tend to interfere (which is the reason why not much "new" life molecules are around these days).
As for producing DNA, are you familiar with current tech? We can produce, modify, recombine etc without much problems.

Lets just assume that the evolution theory is not correct, that still does not proof the existence of any god, let alone the existence of any specific god. Christians, Muslims, et cetera seem to think that as long as they can disprove certain things, that their religion becomes the truth automatically, but that is not the case. Just like the evolution theory requires evidence before it can be considered proven, so does the existence of any specific god require evidence, but there is none.

Scientific theories do not get proven wrong often at all, simply because they have to be peer reviewed before ever being accepted. If you do not agree with certain scientific theories, then you need to have your contradicting findings peer reviewed, so that the relevant scientific theories can be adjusted. The question is if you truly have contradicting evidence? Honestly, I doubt it.

@andycjp Evolution makes no claim about the ORIGIN of life, it explains how the diversity of life evolved from other living organisms (and is probably the scientific theory that is best suported by evidence). If you don't understand this, then you don't understand evolution.
This really isn't a difficult concept to understand - many theists DO understand this, and have chosen to believe that a god created life and then it evolved (perhaps even guided by their chosen god).

I am honest enough to say that we don't have enough evidence to be certain how life originated (you certainly can't show that your specific god created it, disproving all other god based creation stories). The evidence for evolution though is all there.

CONT'D and so on and so forth. Carbon ATOMS can combine with other elements to form different compounds, these compounds don't necessarily look the same either, do they? I'll use an example with Hydrogen here. HCL, Hydochloric acid. It has Hydrogen in it. Water, H2O. There's Hydrogen there as well. Yet you wouldn't drink the acid would you? Different elements make different substances when combined. Scientists don't say that we have carbon in us for no reason.

Which is why it's only the THEORY of Evolution, rather than the LAW of Evolution. Macro-Evoltuion has little to no evidence whatsoever to back it up, Micro-Evolution has loads of evidence. Actually one doesn't know why the universe exists. It's a gap within our understanding of the universe — a big one even. It might be chance, a result of more or less random processes within something that is greater than out universe. It might not. It might even be intelligently crafted.
But we just don't know. And I refuse to fill that gap with any superstition which is not better than any other wild explanation and just accept the fact that it is (for now) unknown.

@flexpape Evolution happens due to natural forces. No god needed in any part. And there is mountains of evidence of humans evolving from a common ancestor with apes. Go to any historical museum and you can see the evidence.
As for history, how much do you know? Read up on Alberuni's 'Indica'. He was a Muslim scholar who happened to write about the stuff the Arabs essentially plundered from the Indians, describing the superior knowledge of math, architecture and astronomy for example.

@flexpape Abiogenesis has nothing to do with charality or DNA. The first cells had rudementary forms of RNA, which is enough for evolution, and can be formed from simple amino acids. Amino acids in turn can form spontaneously in several circumstances (The Miller-Urey experiment is well known for showing this).
As for evolution, again, it has mountains of evidence from several branches of science. We understand it better then gravity, or quantum mechanics which is the basis for your computer.

@flexpape Look up cdk007's channel. He explains the thermal vent theory quite well. There is also panspermia and crystal theories that have well worked out possible steps.
And labs are only needed to exclude current bacteria and other lifeforms because those tend to interfere (which is the reason why not much "new" life molecules are around these days).
As for producing DNA, are you familiar with current tech? We can produce, modify, recombine etc without much problems.
