I had to legit work for a lease on 'my' horse doing chores around the barn & exercising horses and other farm chores! I am not even allowed to show either because it is so expensive! I am saving up money so I can go to a local show soon, hopefully. I work so hard at riding & working on my eq, because my 'trainer' doesn't worry too much about eq because I don't show, but I want to ride correctly & it is hard when she won't critique me. I ride for hours bareback

i know how you feel im in the qh world and i hate it everyone has $100,000 when mines $ 5,000 ive just started leasing her last year and know i feel like "o do i really have to go ride agian? another show? you want me to take more lessons?" yes i love horses but once your forced to do it the horse is the only thing you want to see in the end not the show ring not your trainer and not the arena.

I've never heard anyone explain the passion as you did there before, explain the bond to horses and the burning fire that begins, but few keep as the desire to be around horses. Not many want to experience everything, to just learn without sticking to one spot and than becoming an ultimate learner. I would be the happiest camper to live on stables that specifically train for various disciplines, and keep moving forward. All the horses in this video are the ones that made you who you are. Someone that truely loves horses will always be there with them in some aspect. You will have many different stages in your life but no matter what a horse will be involved somehow. Competition is not the only thing there is and I, like you, love every aspect of horses from mucking the stalls to riding. I am just glad that firery eyed girl crossed my path!

It pisses me off to no end that there are girls out there who have everything handed to them in riding when I've worked my ass off and gotten so little from the sport. And the best thing is, a shit ton of them have ZERO talent. I find that usually the girls who don't get a lot have pure TALENT and those who are handed things don't have it. I'm gonna keep trucking though, since I'm riding at school and I have a new trainer at home. Love this video! :)

The greatest thing about a horse is that, at the end of the day they don't care if they're carrying you around a beefy xc course, traipsing along on trails, working cows, or just hanging out getting brushed, its all done with you, only you... so all you have to do is be thier person <3
