  • PLEASE REPLY i have a question i export my OBJ and my normal map but if i get my model under 25k polygons it starts to look bad even with normal map on its because my polygons are triangle? Nice model BTW

  • I wish I could do shit like this. I guess I'll learn one day.

  • lawl u need to know how to sculpt first or else ur screwed wid this program xD

  • what is supposed to look better low poly or high poly!

  • نستعرف بيك راك تشبهلو

  • that is really amazing, I love the work on the base structure. you did a great job hiding the underlying geometry, not just illustrating the surface without purpose. one day layering muscle systems, fat, bone structures, etc, will allow dynamic skin even on <$2000 pc systems. We're close. Keep up the great work!

  • thats pretty awsome, although i prefere mudbox

  • i agree but i still think zbrush has a good feel to it

  • im getting ready to buy this program and ive never worked on a computer before, im great with pencil. ive watch the tutorials thou and im still confused. did you create this buy building on a regular human model or did you start from scratch?

great job by the way!!! i just hope i will be that good

  • In your ass?

  • This demon obviously has anorexia - look at his abdomen...

    lol

  • Good modeling, though, zbrushalex!

  • DOOM 4?!

  • Omg this looks so good how u ppl do this? :D

Someone wanna be my teacher? xD im serious!

  • zbrush takes a different perspective on 3d modeling. artist that use traditional programs move to this that is much easier to use and allows them to better use their abilities. Because the program is so easy to use (compared to traditional modeling software) all you really need to know is how to sculpt.

  • Max and Maya are still used. Zbrush models by nature have an extremely high polycount and so aren't usable in animations or games. Zbrush is usually used to take a low poly model and generate a normal map for it so it looks higher poly.

  • Yea people who know how to sculpt but not model won't use Zbrush for anything but a hobby. Zbrush has a lot of uses, but sculpting big high poly models on their own isn't really the best use of it.

  • t0r4g0wn4g3 what happens if you make a low poly gun in lets say 3ds max! create a reload animation then import it into z brush edit it into something with col textures give ita good look will it still be useable in games?

  • Well sort of. In order to sculpt the gun, you would need to subdivide it into a high-poly model. Zbrush still works with vertices and polygons.

However, there is a method called normal mapping which will create fake shadows and bumps on the low-poly model, simulating the geometry of the high-poly model. This is Zbrush's main function - sculpting details on a high-poly model and baking them onto a low-poly version of the model which can be used in games and animations.

  • @holyman668 not if you convert it again into a low poly... the textures can be used.. if you first uvw unwrap it in 3ds max then normal map render it in zbrush it takes the uvw mapping of 3ds max. so that can be eaily used.. however for guns you can better just texture the.. or you will have to go in full detail.

  • @Prometheus722 yes, but using a normal 3d app has its advantages too, it all comes down to what you are making, and for what.

  • this is demon

  • very very cool

  • that was so professional.....but as a viewer i fell i over did the nose and ears....abdomen was so flat and pressed inside his body.....My regards 2 ur creation in the arms and shoulders

  • hey dude nice sculpture if ya have some free time id be willing to give you my adobe master collection in return for a custom sculpture.

  • Monsters are alway easier to make than a realistic human. With mosnters u dont worry much just brush away..With humans u worry more about proportion etc...its more tedious..

This character is also really blobby..PEACE

  • lol dats true

  • Oh my...

  • goodness, children, simmer!

youtube comments always make me giggle.

lovely model, it really catches my eye, there's some serious expression in that face

  • dude, these people achieved this. They have all the rights to ignore you.

  • heh...achieved what? I did not ask any questions so i do not care. At the same time if soemone ask a question, he shouldnt be an ass...anyways. Merry Xmas...

  • Ya, well it's because you are too shallow to understand the point I am making.

  • kewl :)

  • how many polygons is the model here? what type of computer system are you running?

  • fuck its great

  • Excellent mesh!

really great looking bat creature man

    zbrush 4 life!

  • BRAVOOOOOOOOOOOO

  • Holy shiot

  • wooo thats mad
