That was always one of my biggest problems with Mormonism, as a Mormon. Any time I had a legitimate question, it seemed like there was never a legitimate answer. It was always "we'll learn the answer to that after we die." The book of mormon is a more recent account of scripture, that contains revelation and spiritual insight. We aren't trying to take away the bible. Actually, we all encourage the usage. We just feel that both practices are good because both are necessary to receive the fullness of the truth and the holy ghost. If you have faith in the bible why not check out and see the book of Mormon to interpret weather or not it is true? I can testify that it is, and it can bless your life as it did mine. :)

We believe the Bible to be the word of God as far as it is translated correctly; we also believe the Book of Mormon to be the word of God. This means that there is more insight to be gained. Therefore, if you have faith in the bible, why not read the book of Mormon also? Moroni -guy in the BoM- made a promise that if you read the whole thing and seek prayer, you will receive a confirmation of the truth. That's my summer goal. :)

That is great, as long as it is not in conflict with the Bible. Interpretations can vary, but they must not change or replace the foundation which has been laid already.
