@bloodymetal2222 He keeps getting sent down to the AHL and recalled almost weekly I'd say. It's getting really annoying because he was such a great player but his confidence has been shot because of his constant team switches.
@Smurfy1211 your very correct. that would be annoying. but when i wrote my comment he had just bin sent down for the first time i believe. so he lost his confidence before hand
I like Paajarvi's intensity sometimes he gets this ahh fuck it look in his eyes and then he goes out and gets a goal or makes something good happen on the ice. That's what I like about this kid. He's the kind of player that will fire the rest of the team up.
I really like the oilers now for Hall, Eberle and Paajarvi. But there's something about Paajarvi. He seems so well-rounded. He's big, he's quick, he's clever, has a tremendous slapshot and wristshot. I expect him to be a 70+ players easy in the future.
Talk about him being clever: notice on his third goal, he looks on the side like he's gonna make a pass before shooting. BEAUTIFUL! Watch it on the replay.
@voluMzor Offcourse you are from finland HAHAHA always jealous at swedish player HAHAHAHA. Show me some facts that makes him "half " finnsih... Go and cry in some corner or something
@voluMzor Show me facts on that i said, not what a fucking jealous finnish writing back, I know that his mother have finnish roots not that she is finnish herself
still cant believe oilers got this kid!! he was a steal in the draft! and i knew he was gonna be a big impact player to any team he played for! but i'm an oil fan and glad he's and Oiler! =) i dont think oil will win the cup this year but they sure made the right moves with getting new coaching staff and getting young talent like Eberle, Hall, Plante. this should be a good season for them thats for sure!
@UltimateHockeyFan91 its the preseason. nobody is playing their big guns until 3 games til the season. even so, the oilers kids are lookin better than everyone elses kids. especially vancouver. 8-2? so the sedins werent playing. big deal. the point is, this could be a huge turning point for the oil. ya we sucked balls since the playoff run. i admit it. but now we have 6-7 young guns and they will boost the rest of the team because they dont want to look bad so its gonna be a whole new team.
It's nice to see things looking up for the Oilers. With all the top young talent and the subtraction of Souray, they'll be dangerous in the next couple seasons for sure.
Peter forsberg told the swedish media a couple of months ago that pääjärvi is better at this exact age than he was. also that magnus is most likely to develop into swedens next great star and that he got all the attribute of a top nhl player today at 19 years of age and so forth.
swedish hockey future has never looked this bright ever as these young stars emerge! watch out!
@UltimateHockeyFan91 Guess you didn't see the earlier game against the nucks where they dressed both sedins, kesler, edler, luongo, and most of their opening roster against the Oilers pluggers. Well the pluggers won. to say with complete certainty that tampa would have won otherwise is just retarded.
Just replying to the Tampa fan, Who cheers for Tampa (I think your the idiot). Who are you going to cheer for when they move due to a lack of fans, Toronto. Hey Timmy I bet your a fan of one of these two teams either Toronto or Calgary LOSER
@max432156 Pre-season is important, shows who will make it and who won't and it will reflect on how they do their first game, on the confidence level for examples. Don't pass off pre-season games for not important.
@xXxDBOYxXx their not as important as they seem, the competition level is not as hard as in the season, besides alot of good players skip those games...
@kiggen15 I like Backstrom, but I'm not sure that is fair comparison...Forsberg is legendary over here too....Paajarvi reminds me of a young Iginla, minus the fighting ability...great outside shooter,w/ power to the net.
@carmie1818 Hopefully he'll turn out as good as Forsberg and hopefully without having injuries each and every game. In Sweden he's allready compared to Forsberg, so I guess he got some pressure to succeed.
@kiggen15 Dont agree he's a man against man player like sundin. he's the new sundin. The new forsberg is maybe Jarnkrok i think, but forsberg had it all.
This kid could easily make me cheer for the Oilers, and plus I also named my 6 month old puppy Paajarvi

@Smurfy1211 It's very common for rookies to be sent down to AHL affiliates. It's the whole point of a 2 way contract.
