MorpheusDreamer13, i have had my female foxface for 2 years now, half the time it is happy the half of the time it is constantly stressed idk y, it has only two tank mates and gets along with them fine, any tip on how to get her to stop flipping out all the time?
@000Idiote Two things, size of the tanks and maybe it need new tankmate that are less stress... I have found that one alone or with less fish they hide more!!! If with other larger fish they will come out and swin along...
@MorpheusDreamer13 she is in a 75 gallon tall tank with a male O. clownfish, and an oddly peaceful and reef safe green spot puffer, i am going to add a pair of black/white bannerfish, a powder brown tang, and a yellow tang once i get the coral population started again
@000Idiote That explain it... At 6'' in a 75 Gallon he start to feel pretty tight... When he panic he must to one side of the tank to the other pretty quickly...? And with all the fish you want to add, maybe you should look at a bigger tank... Did you know that there is 90 Gal tank that fit the same stand than 75 Gal... The tank is only higher...

@MorpheusDreamer13 it swims pretty fast when freaked out but it does it around a rock arch i have, when it is calm it swims through caves in the rock work, i have had it in a 90 gallon until the tank stand crash, so i moved it into the 75, the old 75 gallon stand broke last month i moved it onto another stand ( could this be why it freaks out idk) the foxface stopped eating the food i give it today, but i saw it eating some algea, should i be worried?
@MorpheusDreamer13 thanks for the help but unforunatly it was too late, apperently ick took over the tank in a 48 hour period killing the foxface and my clowns leaving my puffer, and invertabrates the only survivors, but again thanks for your help
Wow, amazing fish and tank; like in a movie with several colorful fish. I have a small tank with only one facefox, one damsel, and two clowns; they have been with me for couples years; easy to take care and help relax when watching them.
@TheTortoises Thanks for your comments... I watched your video and I have to agree with some comments... I am surprised to see a fox face that small after 3 years... They normally get huge, I had to get rid of one because he was to big for my 120 Gallons and that was after 3 years. Think about it... Options are simple, you keep the fish knowing that even if you don't see it he is retaining his normal growth, get the fish exchange for another one or get a larger tank...
Hi MorpheusDreamer13 : Thank you for watching my clip and giving helpful advice. BTW, my clip was made two yrs a go. Now, all my fish grow twice bigger, very healthy and eat well (I feed them once a day "Tetra Marine"). Whatever, I love your vid, professionally created; I added it in my favorite.
anyway i bought a foxface last week for my 75gal and he is so cute he loves the dry seaweed i give him and he hasnt touched my zoas, mushrooms or xenias.
i got a foxface. he is just a little guy. i hope he grows bigger. as soon as i put some seaweed on the clip he rips it right off and tears it apart. he isn't aggressive though towards my other fishes.
@Y2JRemous Don't worry your Fox Face will grow and they are ferocious seaweed eater... but not aggressive at all towards other fishes, in fact they are more shy if anything...
@MorpheusDreamer13 also i noticed on the top of his body he is black blotches instead of all yellow behind and infront of his black dot. what is that all about it takes away the beauty of him :(
@Y2JRemous None of the fox face are exactly the same color I had one almost fully black once.... I might change over time... The color of a fish is also affect by the lighting and the food... Ensure to give him dry seaweed...
@MorpheusDreamer13 Cool I appreciate the info. Just added a yellow and blue tang today as well as a purple firefish. I hope my red firefish gets along with him. My tank is a 120 gal. My royal gramma doesnt seem to like neither firefish. What size is your tank?
@Y2JRemous My tank is 120 Gallon too... I never owned firefish, but they are normally living in school... Royal Gramma can be trouble maker sometimes...
@loliage11 ???? Apparently we don't have the same definition of shool... People I know do school of 3 to 5 in any tank bigger than 70 gallons... I am not a big fans of firefish myself...
@MorpheusDreamer13 I Had an RBTA get into one also but luckily it did not kill anything but pieces of it were everywhere :( damn thing was in one place for months with no movement and then ONE DAY is all it took and now is gone!
@frankie724 You are right about the trial and error, the worst one was to add a huge anemone a year and half ago that got cut in the hydor pump and cut in pieces killing in the same time all the fish... luckily the corals survive...

@MorpheusDreamer13 just out of curiousity what was it that killed the fish? pump failure? or the much more awesome theory of stinging cells flying around the tank stinging and killing everything in a cyclone of terror!

@000Idiote Has he been eating since that?
MorpheusDreamer13 1 month ago
@MorpheusDreamer13 only algea, but now its eyes have gone cloudy, any ideas what might have caused it?
000Idiote 1 month ago
@000Idiote The eyes going cloudy can be from stress, not necessarily the end of the world. Keep feeding him, if he eat you're good...
