it might not take much to get a Rustler to get 70-75, but to go faster is a lot harder to do than people think. Aerodynamics and suspension play a huge role in getting the Rustler to go anything over 80mph. As for bang for your buck its a great place to start. This guy obviously spent $2000 on his car so it could be close to bulletproof and efficient as would any "Racer" would with what ever they are racing. Remember this is a "Hobby" who cares just have fun.....

well I guess I have to post a video soon. Really I dont need to copy or cheat from anyone. I am more of a trial and error kinda guy and when I do put up a video, I will be more than happy to post exactly how I did it. Currently I am running a Ultra GTP. MMM 2200 with 6 cells at 5800Mah 35c. Stock spur and a 16 pinion. More geared for fun not speed runs. I dont believe its not getting hot. temp it on video please. See how easy that was? Now you try.

Haha, you have no scale then. That was definitely above 90 miles per hour.

When they say the sound barrier, they mean the scale model sound barrier. So if it's a 1:12 scale car, the sound barrier would be 768/12.

If you scale up the size of the car with the sound barrier (like if it's a half scale car, the scale sound barrier would be half of Mach 1), then this would easily be breaking the speed of sound.

The real speed of sound remains at Mach 1.

I have both nitro n bushless .. Bushless r nice easy to work on u just turn it on and go fast (which r more for girls).. Nitro r more realist n more fun love the sound n the smell of race fuel.. But Sorry guy ur nitro don't go 150 mph .. Check some of my video out .. I have some nitro that can beat some( I said some bushless) but no 150 mph

I would have to disagree on nitros having more push power. Electric motors are known for there massive amounts of torque. i have yet seen a nitro truck wheelie at 50 mph while brushless and lipos do it all the time. I've never heard someone say that a nitro engine has too much power. I've heard this often with brushless and lipo power.

Exactly,the fastest RC cars are powered by electric motors,brushless motors.

The amount of torque and extreme RPM an electric is capable of , no nitro matches .

For short runns nothing beats electric for acceleration and top speed.

We can't disclose that info, but we are using off the wall products, not custom made gears..

@carguy70001 More like you will not disclose that info. More than likely a stock spur with maybe a 20+ pinion gear. Castle Creations Mamba Monster Max takes up to 6 cells lipo. Maybe some 5800-6000 Mah batteries and probably good for one or 2 runs without thermal overload. Why would u not tell what ur using. Any scientific fact is able to be reproduced by following the formula. if you cant back up the formula. the speed gun isnt enough proof.

@klaarkent At the International Speed Championships (Fontana Calif) this car was clocked at 112.14mph. This done on 4S and backed up twice. As far as our configuration, Neu Motor, MMM, 4s 14.8v LiPo, Ofna GTP Chassis and drive train. If it were easy to reproduce them you would have done it by now.
