  • Hi Kai. I don't cook much, but I have really enjoyed watching your videos. Thank you for your work! I have prepared this recipe twice, once using fish and once using pork. The fish version was very successful. I would like to add some vegetables to make this more of a meal. What vegetables do you think might be best to try?

And He's Mexican I thought He would say like Hot Cheetos. When We buy Thai Food it's A Privalge to Us And we Alway's Order the Soup So We pay like $11.00

  • I'm new to Thai cooking and was wondering if you eat the Kaffir lime leaves or do they just add aroma? How about the lemongrass and the galangal?

  • kaffir lime leaves, lemongrass, and galangal only add aroma/flavor to the soup. you don't eat them.

  • I am vegetarian. I love Kai's recipes, a lot of them you can just substitute vegetarian ingredients for the animal products. But I am wondering if anyone knows what you could use instead of the fish sauce?

  • Fish sauce just makes it salty. You can use salt instead.

  • Basicaly fish sauce is like sea water but with a funky smell.

  • i think you need to stir-fried the chicken first

  • looks good!...when I make this soup, I use mushrooms, and at the end some chili paste to the broth and add some kick!!! delicious

  • The internet is where I get mine, then I put them in a couple freezer bags and freeze them, works great.

    They have a wonderful aroma.
