  • I absolutely adored this video. I bought some weeks ago an old doll made on germany by Simon and Halbig and I had to restaurate her but just on the parts she really needed also including the wig and some parts of the head and it was just fine and nice.!!!!! I would love to know more about this lovely dolls!!!! geetings! from Chile!!!!

  • oh by the way i love the music inthe video very regal like something youd dance to at a Royal ball from long ago

  • id love to own a real Victorian doll only old doll in our house is my moms Shirely Temple doll that will be mine one day but the collectors dolls you can get cheaply today that look like Victorian kids will they be worth anything one day im wondering if i should get right into thise side of doll collecting as i mostly collect reborns American Girl dolls and the Anime like BJD

  • oh wow those are beautiful my collectords dolls look like Victorian children but their modern made maybe theyll be worth something in the future but yours are amazing love them also the one with the little doll in her hand reminds me of Marie Amtoinette on her way to the guillotine dont know why lol and the music suits the video perfrctly

  • Hi & thanks for your compliments on my collection. They don't make them like they used to, lol

  • These are amazing. I can't believe the craftsmanship that went into some of these dolls. Very, very nice collection.

  • oooooh. very beautiful! check out my channel mrspiercedolls for doll collecting sharing and fun!

  • These Antique old dolls look so real.

They look like the beautiful people in the nowadays when you see them

on the street, in any wedding party or any city music show.

They are just dolls and they are beautiful.

I love the music of this video too.

    Great collection ! .

  • @joeelipo Thanks for the kind remarks. What museum have you seen antique dolls in nearby? The reason I ask is because I recently moved from Queens, NY to Long Island and am looking for a nearby museum to take my children too.

  • great collection! Are the dresses all originals?

  • Your German dolls are much prettier than the French!

  • @conqueso62 I love French dolls, but feel the German ones have more character. However, I would be lying to myself if I said I didn't want any in my collection. I just can't afford them, lol!

The French ones are gorgeous, but have a lack of warmth and depth that the German ones have. The French dolls appear more wax-like and the German ones are very haunting because they look like real little girls. The realism is what scares most non collectors away because it creeps them out, lol.

  • @DEEKANE1113 First of all LOVE your doll collection a-ma-zing and also back in the day when these dolls were first made were chirlden supposed to play with them i know there not supposed to be played with now days but were they back then ?

  • @TheClairee01 i think they wre gently played with and not many pepole had dolls back then only very rich little girls but thinking back i had books on kids in Victorian times and the girls sometimes took their dolls to bed with them and played with them gently maybe pretending the dolls were fine young ladies having tea parties not being thrown around the playroom or having their heads pulled off like what happend to my poor Barbie dolls

  • @anne123480 I didn't know that so thx for sharing =) and sorry for your barbies jk lol

  • @TheClairee01 your welcome yeah all the Barbies are okay now they had their heads put back on and are living happly in the loft whist the collectors Barbies are on Display my most resent Barbie like doll is Kate Middleton in her wedding gown so shes standing next to a 15 inch china version of her mother in Law the late Princess Diana in her Wedding gown

  • @anne123480 Wow that sounds amazing.

  • @TheClairee01 yeah the Diana doll was my Aunts she gave her to me when she moved to the states and Kate i bought myself from London also i collect BJD that look like pepole in anime and have you seen the Reborns some of them are amazing and i love Mermaid dolls not like Ariel art mermaid dolls

  • that jumeau lady is amazing! She's really quite tall, isn't she? darn, I'm jealous! My mother has collected antique dolls for years and I've recently become interested (so you see it can happen!). Right now my heart's desire is a tete jumeau with a closed mouth... one day perhaps. great collection!

  • @lilyflowertulip Hi, I thought I would never be lucky enough to add a Jumeau to my collection. Trust me I am not wealthy by any means.

One day someone listed her on ebay with a buy it now that was as cheap as a common German doll. They had no idea it was a Jumeau and I wasn't 100% sure it was one until she arrived.

If I can get lucky like this, then anyone can attain the doll of their dreams. It is within your reach, trust me. It's just a matter of time...

    ~Dee

  • @lilyflowertulip I forgot to mention she is 23 inches tall and a quite impressive size. I died and gone to heaven when I acquired her.
