The usual problem is the spinal elements sitting right on top of one another instead of being spaced out too far. Odd that it's the other way for you. Where's that six million dollar prosthetic rebuild when you need one? Oh, yeah, that's right -- you need to crash an orbiter first.

I can some what sympathize with the neck situation. I have arthritis in my neck. Granted my head does not feel like it is falling back, but it still hurts. I hope you find some help for your neck soon.

neck is slowly getting better but there is still alot of pain and I have to wear a neck brace when I leave the house. I am happy that it is improving.

:P The camera is sitting at the post office. The office where I can pick it up is only open for 45 minutes on Saturday mornings, so we have to wait for Monday. I did not tell the boys that we had a package slip waiting or they would be tearing down the post office brick by brick. :)

That's good, especially to not let it get too flared up. For me, who knows...surgery could leave me with less flexibility...so for now I live with the pain. I have found that acupuncture helps immensely... you may want to look into that.

Thank you, I try to be careful and keep the pain at a low level, but PT leaves me hurting 24/7. I just keep trusting that it will help in the long run. Good luck on yours. Surgery or what??

Wow...I've been having very similar issues with my neck for the last 6 months or so! A lot of pain, with clicks and pops. And that weird sliding out of place sensation at different times. I haven't been to anyone about it yet. But, it seems so much like what you just explained...WOW!

Trouble was x-ray and MRI did not show a problem. They were looking for a more "normal" problem. PT was first guy to spend time watching me walk and feeling my neck. Be careful!!!! And keep demanding help.

I don't know about pretty girl, but you're a beautiful woman! Wish you were here in LA - my husband's spinal surgeon is TOP notch! He got such great care with this last surgery that I'd recommend this doc and the hospital to anyone. Congrats on the camera! Great news indeed!

I feel for ya Spider. My 30 yr old daughter has been having a mysterious back problem since right around Thanksgiving. We've been all over the place to a zillion different kinds of docs. Now we are seeing PT and the accupuncturist. She's been living on Tramadol and Ibuprofen and she spends a lot of time on her sides. Positive, healing thoughts going out to you now. Love~

Ooooh, so sorry for her. It really zaps ya. I had PT this morning (different town) ran errands, came home and went to bed at 3pm, only got up at 9 pm cuz hubby missed me. I would have been fine staying in bed till tomorrow. LOL Tell her to rest when she can and to do her excercises that the PT gives her. (lecture, lecture)

Yes, I understand perfectly. My daughter would be fine staying in bed all the time too. Except she is getting depressed because she was VERY active before this happened. She is doing everything her doc's tell her. Love and healing to you girl! Peace.

I have not seen a chirocractor in over a year and before that I only saw one for 5 or 6 visits. I had not seen on for a few years before as they could not solve my back pain.

history of scoliousus, car accidents etc. Family history of back pain. I really think it is just a cummalitive effect. I also think that if my MD had paid attention a year ago it would not be this bad now.

Curious if they ever did an MRI on your neck and if the results confirm your PT diagnosis. Hope everything works out with that.

I had an MRI, did not show anything that my MD CONSIDERED a problem, but he always ignores me. PT guy put 2&2 together.

I hate the shampoo bowl...for as long as I can remember, I've gotten a migraine shortly after every shampoo at the salon. The bowl just hits the back of my neck at the wrong spot. I do the whole shower & rush to the salon thing now.

I'm glad the phsiotherapist seems to have worked out what is wrong, keep at the exercises they will help, when I broke my ankle and started walking again it was really difficult and I had to train my leg and ankle to turn the right way again and that was after only 8 weeks, you neck has been bad for ages, but I bet the physio does it. Good luck with it. :)
