  • I've got a speed6, too. Its mostly stock, just a mazdaspeed CAI. I love the hell outa this car. the AWD isn't the best but it helps with the corners and on the dirt.

  • O.o wow I didn't know these are awd... fucking awesome... always thought they where either fwd or rwd...

  • Hey question guys i just bought a mazdaspeed6 and im going to start modding it soon but i was wondering why is it so hard to break 400 hp on the speed 6 but the speed 3 i see a lot of them at 400 or over? is it because of the fuel system or ecu? once again i been lookn around and still dont see any at 400 ar real close to it. Thanks ..

  • @mps679 dude its rare to see a speed3 over 400whp let alone the speed6. unfortunately the speed6 has a fairly inefficient transmission it would take at least a gt30r on prob around 25 lbs. to make that. you'll also need a built motor. and a GREAT tune these motors are pretty finicky. its always easier to make more power to the wheels in a fwd vs a awd. less drive train loss.

  • i never knew the speed 6 was awd, why the fuck would they stop making it?

  • @shizzel122 because their awd system blows lmao

  • @EditCrew ahhh, that;s why..

  • @shizzel122 they made enough amount of the car to participate in some races around the world. As always, the reasons why some cars are very limited.

  • I'm lucky enough to now own this ride now and it's such a blast!

  • For sure my Mazdaspeed6 brother. I am only stage 1 OTS, i shall join the ranks of Stage 2 next year FTW!

  • awd or fwd?

  • @banana12292 AWD FTW brah!

  • is that 301 wheel HP? or at the crank?

  • Really? Wheel...

  • wow...

  • @its2realj if it's on a wheel dyno, it's at the wheels. if its an engine stand dyno, it's at the crank.

  • so were you protuned or did you just get a map customized?

  • I'm just using off the shelf (OTS) maps from COBB right now. I'm working on a custom FMIC and will custom tune myself after that. Another dyno to come soon with a 3071, new exhaust mani, EWG, ETC.

  • i want your mapp!!! lmaooo

  • You can have it, it's on cobbs website. It's not even a custom one. The stage 2 93 + TMIC I think

  • holy shit you have the autoexe TMIC. Thats the super, more expensive than a FMIC, TMIC . . . . is it good ?

  • Comparable to CPE's FMIC that my buddy has locally. It's great.

  • well TMIC and FMIC are very comparable when cool. The issue is heatsoak as im sure you know. Just saw the autoexe TMIC on a mazda site and it was VERY expensive compared to mine .

  • Well obviously TMIC is gonna get more heat soak. Driving temps are VERY comparable, I was seeing 100-115 with the AUTO EXE while my buddy was seeing about the same with his CPE FMIC. With meth there's no difference.

  • Yeah I understand. What im trying to get at is why the autoexe TMIC is worth 1000 bucks . Looks nice but my ETS seems like it would do the same thing for half hte price. Just curious because ive never seen someone who actually bought the autexe tmic. Regardless great numbers.

  • Haha. Worth $1200? No. Worth more than the ETS? Yes

  • Very nice. Was that a mustang or dynojet?? Im getting my speed dynod this weekend on a mustang dyno. Hopefully around 265ish (without tune / DP)

  • Dynojet, I should be getting another one soon too.

  • yea full 3inch turboback yess, but what test pipe what downpipe what exhausts

  • There's no test pipe. CPE down pipe and Corksport CBE-check the more info tab all the mods are listed.

  • so you have the stock test pipe or what?

  • Everybody keeps asking me this. The CP-E catted down pipe replaces the test pipe...so no.

  • alright thanks we dont really refer to that as a test pipe on a wrx since i think there's only one dp which isn't full

  • what testpipe did u use?

  • Full 3" turboback

  • Sick car. Im running 280 awhp in my speed but im still w/out downpipe. Holding on to my warranty until it expires.

Just wondering . . . does your car vib like a washing machine at idle ?

  • I wouldn't say a washing machine. After I upgraded my rear engine and rear diff mounts, and deleted the balance shaft I'd say it's increased, but no where near a washing machine haha.

  • I see :). Ive only got a rear engine mount and it definately increased the vibrations with A/C on. Still getting more drivetrain lash then I want. What mount would you recommend next? I don't want one thats hard to install.

  • check mzdspd (dot) com

  • Stage 2 93 + TMIC v101p

  • awesome man those are some crazy tq numbers, taken it to the track yet?

  • Haha, that's a whole other video. By march I'll have some numbers.

  • Engine mods: -Mazdaspeed CAI -Turbosmart Dual port BPV -Denso 1 step colder plugs (.028") -CP-E 3" high flow cat DP -Corksport 80mm CBE -Auto-Exe 3.25" TMIC -Custom 3" Turbo inlet -Cobb AP (custom OTS map) -Amsoil everywhere -N2MB 2 step launch/WOT shifting
  • I listed pretty much all of them I think.

  • very nice hopefully one day I'll have nearly the same set up.

  • looks nice, you make me wanna have gotten a black one, what mods on it?
