no, its not the depression, its not the price tag either. the games for the ps3 do not appeal to most western gamers. games like x-edge and disgaea and other rpg arent really given much attention by most western players. they like tactical military stuff asia likes their games fun and simple.

lol sony is the 2nd largest manufacturer of electronics in the world. they can sit one generation out in 3rd and set themselves up for another ps2-like success next gen (which was EXTREMELY profitable) they can still turn a profit on tv's, phones, computers, cameras, etc. the only company that could be driven out of the business would be nintendo because they are games only, but they're pretty good at what they do.

Siren - great horror game, Folklore - great action RPG, Uncharted - it has great cover based shooting (identicle to gears) and also great platforming, torret sections and great treasure hunting, Ratchet and Clank is a great platformer with superb shooting, MGS4 is a great stealth shooter, Motorstorm 2 is a great arcade racer, Little Big Planet is a great 2d platformer ect
Resistence 2 is the only traditional 3rd person shooter like Halo.

Look at almost any xbox game, not just exclusives nion all of em have full hd.i will admit that the ps3 is a good media centre but that is all it is not for playing games, for that u need a xbox.
LoL... The PS3 has more "True HD" (1080p) games than the X-Box 360. A huge number of X-Box 360 consoles can't even do HD. It wasn't able to play HD games until the Elite came out. That means all the 360 games that came out before the Elite aren't HD. That's all I can say about that... The PS3 has more.
As for games: It all depends on which games you like more. I like most of the PS3 franchises far more than those of the 360, and I like the PS3's controller much more. No AA batteries for me.
Both consoles have great games, but according to GameTrailers the PS3 is apparently getting better games. So I guess if you want games you need a PS3.
I say which one has the best games depends on personal preference, but there are a few things that just make the PS3 better if we ignore personal opinions:
It doesn't break nearly as often.
It has more features.
It has more powerful hardware.
If we ignore personal opinion then the PS3 is factually better... That's all there is to it.

Xbox360 is not an HD gaming console it can barely do fucking HDMI, I got a low setting of 720p/1080i while it looks great, ps3 is the only console that can do true 1080p in native not upscaled, but I will admit the games are awesome, halo3 is aight, Gears gots a lot of glitches but I'm getting it becuase I have no other choose for a shooter btw I already got the lastest COD W@W, If I could I would go back and wait for the ps3 and a price drop but overall xbox360 is an aight machine.

ive played both too, and R2 goes for HUGE baddies, thats why gears2 has better enviroment graphics than R2. Look it up. again, R2 goes for the HUGE bad guys, while gears2 goes fro the detailed look with tiny bad guys.

The only reason the 360 and wii is selling the most is because they cheaper. When people go in the store to buy a new game system they look at the tag price. They may want to buy a PS3 but because of the price high price tag they will get a 360 or wii instead. When the PS3 price goes down more people will buy it and more 360 and wii owners will switch to the PS3. Believe me. 2 of my friends have switched to the PS3 this Christmas. have you tried it fully (not the beta) i mean the single player and such no doubt you havent played it fully so no one knows its such a great game no reviews have come out cept for maxim's so we dont know if its good/bad now lets name some better games than k2 resistance 2 metal gear solid 4 and the reason these games are better at the mo is b we dont know the review for k2 so dont go saying a game is the best when no review have came out for it for all we know it could be a flop mayby it isnt

im not blind, i can see gameplay footage.
i can also notice the detail, and physics of the game from a video.
MGS4 is a totally different genre so i dont even know why ur comparing that.
its like comparing a pizza with a burger.....obviously their gonna taste different.
R2 is a very cool game, i missed out on it but i know its awesome.......unfortunatly killzone beats that too.

killzone is already proven it self to be the best.....
the best is only gonna get better when the final copy is released.
the reviews are also based on the final build so the physics and all that will be the same....just more maps, missions and extra multiplayer features that wernt in the beta.
and of-course fix any glitches, problems and errors....the reason why the beta was released.

gears didnt have a good beta which is why when it was released, it was filled with glitches.
same with gta4....remember the freezes on all systems???? ..... again due to no beta testing.
if they did a beta then they would have found out.
if something is made at 80%, it can only go higher.....unless they delete their HDD which they wont.

oh and that 80% (beta) merked most of the 2008 games, like it or not.

forget 2008. 2009 PS3 will SLAUGHTER 360. Killzone 2, God of War 3, Heavy Rain, Gran Turismo 5, MAG, Uncharted 2, inFamous, and more correct me if I'm missing a few vs. Halo Wars and Halo Recon also correct me on what I'm missing. That's a huge diversified blockbuster lineup against two spinoffs. They say Killzone 2 will only use 60% of PS3's graphical power, while Uncharted 2 will attempt to use 100%. Final Fantasy will also run wayyyy better on PS3 because that's what square enix is used to.

lol sony is the 2nd largest manufacturer of electronics in the world. they can sit one generation out in 3rd and set themselves up for another ps2-like success next gen (which was EXTREMELY profitable) they can still turn a profit on tv's, phones, computers, cameras, etc. the only company that could be driven out of the business would be nintendo because they are games only, but they're pretty good at what they do.

i dont buy much actually because i often look at reviews before i buy. but in actuallity, the xbox just lack the diversity of games like the wii and ps3 has. thats one reason xbox dont sell well in japan. creativity makes a console better, not releasing the same thing over and over. any shooting game can get pretty pointless in a so thats one of the facts behind our point of view for xbox. to add to that, rpgs are good and theres only a little bit of it in xbox.

Siren - great horror game, Folklore - great action RPG, Uncharted - it has great cover based shooting (identicle to gears) and also great platforming, torret sections and great treasure hunting, Ratchet and Clank is a great platformer with superb shooting, MGS4 is a great stealth shooter, Motorstorm 2 is a great arcade racer, Little Big Planet is a great 2d platformer ect
Resistence 2 is the only traditional 3rd person shooter like Halo.
360 games are bad RPGs (fable 2 is great) or shooters!

The PS3 outsold the X-Box 360 in: January, Febuary, March, April, May, June, July, August, Oktober, and September.
The 360 outsold the PS3 in: November, and December.
So... PS3 sales are failing? And according to GameTrailers the PS3 had a much better lineup of games in 2008.

At the end of the day i no that i bought the superior console and that is the 360, if the ps3 games start getting full HD (i.e. 1080p), I think there are 5 games at the minute that go to full HD, then i may consider spending the money but a Full HD compatible console that doesn't use it, useless

LoL... The PS3 has more "True HD" (1080p) games than the X-Box 360. A huge number of X-Box 360 consoles can't even do HD. It wasn't able to play HD games until the Elite came out. That means all the 360 games that came out before the Elite aren't HD. That's all I can say about that... The PS3 has more.
As for games: It all depends on which games you like more. I like most of the PS3 franchises far more than those of the 360, and I like the PS3's controller much more. No AA batteries for me.

I say which one has the best games depends on personal preference, but there are a few things that just make the PS3 better if we ignore personal opinions:
It doesn't break nearly as often.
It has more features.
It has more powerful hardware.
If we ignore personal opinion then the PS3 is factually better... That's all there is to it.

Xbox360 is not an HD gaming console it can barely do fucking HDMI, I got a low setting of 720p/1080i while it looks great, ps3 is the only console that can do true 1080p in native not upscaled, but I will admit the games are awesome, halo3 is aight, Gears gots a lot of glitches but I'm getting it becuase I have no other choose for a shooter btw I already got the lastest COD W@W, If I could I would go back and wait for the ps3 and a price drop but overall xbox360 is an aight machine.

ive played both too, and R2 goes for HUGE baddies, thats why gears2 has better enviroment graphics than R2. Look it up. again, R2 goes for the HUGE bad guys, while gears2 goes fro the detailed look with tiny bad guys.
i said R2 is better in online... i didnt disagree.
and again, R2 single player wasnt as fun as R1, but it was the opposite for gears. gears2 just flat out beat gears1 story, but alot of ppl agree, gears2 has a better story, notice gears2, not one, two.

of course, the early ps3 games, the developers were too alzy to make use of ps3s gadgets, whilest developers already knew how to use 360's gadgets.
like a runner who gives his best compared to a runner whos lazy, but in the next run, the runner who did his best wil have hardly any imporvement, while the runner who was lazy decides to give his all, you will see a huge improvement.

u no wat, wat is the point of this console war? if the ps3 wins, which most ppl seem 2 think now, wat differance does it make? more ppl will get a ps3. Um and wat??? does it really make a differance? ppl will still play their 360's, just maybe less ppl. just think, if the news suddenly stated that the ps3 won, so wat? it doesn't affect u or me. if u work for microsoft then u might b in trouble, but otherwise it won't really change things.

The only reason the 360 and wii is selling the most is because they cheaper. When people go in the store to buy a new game system they look at the tag price. They may want to buy a PS3 but because of the price high price tag they will get a 360 or wii instead. When the PS3 price goes down more people will buy it and more 360 and wii owners will switch to the PS3. Believe me. 2 of my friends have switched to the PS3 this Christmas. Also yall is a reall world. It didn't need the (') in it.

i myself owna 360 (well its my brothers, but still), but im saving up for a PS3.
but if sony doesnt do a price cut, they may shoot themselves in the head. ppl say sales dont matter, but they do, especailly to a product with enmies. sales to a product is like oxygen to humans, with out sales the product dies. but once Sony does a cut, then more people will be much more linent (did i spell that riht?).

see the thing is I don't think sony can make such a price cut due to the fact that they don't make any money from the console itself because it cost more money to make it, so cutting back the price that they sell it will put them in a hole. If you catch what I mean.

lmao I love how people are talking about how the ps3 had a great year but month after month their psp still outsells their pse3 by thousands of unit. Get your facts straight guys ps3 isn't doing anything their games are still garbage. Let's look at their exclusive game that came out this year; resistance 2. Resistance 2 was like the biggest flop of the year and it got slayed by tons of reviews. Now xbox360 is getting the new gta 4 add on which is most likely going to sell a ton but I'm done now!
