@thodontyx , there was another pageant called the International Pageant of Pulchritude that was started in the 1920s. The eventual winner of the pageant would be given the title Miss Universe. Back then, the majority of the contestants were from USA representing various US cities and states while there is only a handful of international contestants, thus the USA wins back-to-back titles. The pageant was discontinued after Miss Egypt won.
