No player deserves a cheapshot BUT Gretzky was so horribly protected by the league that I can understand this cracks a smile to some peoples faces. If you hit gretzky not only would you get a whole team pounding you in the face but you would also get an automatic penalty and maybe even a suspension. It was ridiculous.
