I think it would not be fair to either holster manufacture if I gave a 1 minute review on their product that they have spent some much time on R&D. I try and give my honest opinions, and unfortunately, it wont take a few minutes...
have wasted too much money trying to find the best holster for my purpose, been carring my crossbreed for well over a year and have zero intent to switch to any other. crossbreed is very thin and you barely notice it. galco added a layer for looks at the expense of comfort.
@southernfriedlensman I own both, and they both very well!! Its just a matter of taste and what works for you. They both work for me and I still continue to carry my firearms in both holsters, Thanks for posting a comment and stopping by!!
@etobsify I suggest you post gun reviews on your own channel before you start to criticize other peoples videos. You don't even have one shitty ass video on your channel. You must have a lonely life buddy!! @etobsify really guy? just shut the fuck up. fucking pathetic moron. you got nothing better to do than to be a safety sally pussy fuck and troll people? wow...how pathetic and tragic your useless existance is.
dont know if you knew but if you got the supertuck molded for the glock it would also fit almost if not all the glock models just like the galco kingtuk
not sure about how many make the crossbreads, but i know 1 man does the kholsters another custom quality IWB leather/kydex holster. i chose the kholster over the crossbread for the simple fact that i was actually able to get into contact with them.
@darksamurai73 Kholster is another good holster. I dont own one so I could not do a review comparison. It wouldn't be fair since I have never worn it to get it my true opinions. I agree with you that customer service is # uno when I am looking for a holster or anything else to purchase. Without good customer service a business could stumble and fall.
@MrKZizzle yeah very much so, i have that one kholster and got a good deal on 2 king tuks, i love the tuk, holds my full size glock and 3.5 1911s without even needing a belt, and holds in a way i can easily hide them under a normal sized teeshirt
@darksamurai73 Sweet!! I just picked up a Sig P239 and and going to start to carry it. I think I am going Kydex IWB holster for it. Should be interesting cause it'll be the heaviest pistol I have carried to date. Cant go wrong with a Sig though...
@darksamurai73 I might even go with a Tommy Theis holster. Don't have to wait 6-8 weeks and it wont cost me an arm a leg, and a bag of chips ... LOL!!
What about the Glock 21 you left that model out.? meaning that holster will not accept the G21 Gun in it.? Did you buy the King tuck directly from Galco or did you get it from another source on line.?
@COYOTE165A I bought the holster from Galco directly and yes, you are correct it will not accept the glock21. Thanks for the comment and stopping by...
cross is single layer and galco is double layer, that is why the galco is smooth,if you want a smooth edge, run a wood dowl in a drill press, easy fix, either one is fast and easy to make, oh and they are rapid rivets and wont unscrew brother..
cross is single layer and galco is double layer, that is why the galco is smooth,if you want a smooth edge, run a wood dowl in a drill press, easy fix, either one is fast and easy to make,
Could you be any more bias? The Crossbreed holsters are awesome and you know it! Galco is about as Walmart brand as you can get! Cheep assembly line product!
@XzCoRkEy14zX I never said that the crossbreed was a terrible holster to own. I bought one. I am simple making a honest review and opinion of a product that I own. I have as much right to my opinion as you do.Galco also puts out a good holster. That's also why I bought it. You need to relax and enjoy an opinionated review or find something else to do!!
What about retention? which one of these Holsters has stronger retention? looking to get a IWB holster for My Glock 19 but i ride a motorcycle so i really want as much retention as i can get for obvious reasons. also i see the Crossbreed offers one that can accommodate the Glock light/laser. i haven't seen the same option for the Galco king tuck. you know anything about that?
@TheHeartOfTheLion Choosing a holster that is right for you takes some thought. Some people prefer leather, some Kydex. Others like the mixture of both. I like Kydex for my pistols. Just my preference, although I own both Kydex and Leather holsters. It seems that leather wears on the slide of a pistol faster than kydex does (this would depend on the individual wearing it). The only thing I would suggest is to borrow someones holster (leather or kydex) and take it for a spin.
i have the crossbred supertuck, its a decent holster but it just didnt hold up all that well even though I got the horsehide. after 2 years the leather became very soft to the point that i could feel the gun against my side. id imagine the galco would hold up better
@cbr6864 Yeah... I could see that happening. One thing that you might want to consider is to call Crossbreed and complain. One thing companies like that don't like is negative publicity. Call'em and tell them that your holster just simple got too worn and you really liked the holster.. just to see what they come back at you with. I would be interested to know.
You can't buy additional kydex bodies for the Supertuck unless you send it back into Crossbreed. It's a pretty hefty charge. The similar styled holster which CAN do that is called the Comptac Mtac.
Also, you repeatedly mention that the Galco holster can fit many different guns, whereas the supertuck cannot. That is only because your Galco is for glock pistols. If your crossbreed was for a glock, it would fit all the glocks too. If your Galco was for the PPS, it would only fit the PPS.
@TheTruthPerspective Yes, you are correct. You can not buy Kydex for the Supertuck, but if you listened closely I said that I wasnt sure on what holster you can do that with. Secondly, ... If listen AGAIN... I said that the Galco holster fits many of my glock pistols... NOT many different guns, Dude.... if your going to make accusations like that you should get your facts straight. Its no wonder you only have 1 subscriber!!
Oh, forgot to say that the King Tuck is also a pretty good holster, got one for my PM9. Both of them are great holsters and I'd recommend either to anyone.
Yeah, I see that. I guess my getting the ST without combat (cut my own) cut and in cowhide made me think of the pricing of 69 & change. I understand your wanting to mention only "...around a hundred bucks" when discussing the ST, I'd do the same thing if I was marketing the other I suppose. Have a great day!
@tuts40 I believe the cross bread supertuck starts @ 69.75. If you add in the combat cut $10 and the horse hide $15 it comes in around $95. That doesn't include shipping. I'm not knocking the holster. I love the cross bread. That's why I bought it. I think just a little too pricey for whats out there in the market place. Thanks for the comment and watching my vid!
@MrKZizzle Now that you've had a little more time to spend with the King Tuck, do you have a clear favorite between it and the Crossbreed? Thanks for the great vid!
@targetbuttmonkey Thanks for the comment. I appreciate you watching my channel. Truthfully, there is no winner or favorite here. I bought both holsters because I believe in both who manufacture them. They are both top notch holsters. Both hold up very well with the guns I choose to carry and can carry them without printing. Yes, even my G36 45ACP hides very well with my galco holster. I have another holster review coming up here shortly. It'll be on a kydex holster that I just picked up.
This internet commando safety check requirement is ridiculous. It is a given that you check your weapon, but we don't need to be privy to it. You cant shoot viewers through the camera. You aren't doin for viewers, your doin for your own safety.
@HYBRIDCOMBATIVES I totally agree with you, and trust me.. I always safety check my weapons before I handle any of them. Thanks for the comment brother!
@HYBRIDCOMBATIVES I checked "Azure639" channel and it doesnt even appear that he owns any guns at all nor does he have any videos. I guess people put up a channel and become critics in their own minds....
Yeah almost any glock will fit in the galco, just like pretty much all size 1911s will fit in my super tuck. The super tuck is nice because the leather on the back is a little rough and it helps the holster stay in place.
@azure639 Not only that, but Im getting sick of people doing reviews constantly safety checking. OK we get it. Your being safe. Look Nothing in the Mag. Nothing to see here. Click Click Finger on the Trigger??? lol
@djericexcel I agree bro... I mean if you own guns you better know to safety check'em before you handle them in a video, out on the range, or where ever! It's just like "Mattc1683" says.. there are a lot of trolls out there with nothing better to do.
I own the crossbreed and love it. The shipping is still 4-6 weeks. Your logic on the Gock and holster fit as a pro to the Galco is flawed. Because most holsters that I know that fit a Glock will fit most any Glock. Not really a pro to Galco just to owning a Glock. Is the Galco adjustable? I can change the ride height and cant on my crossbreed.
One major thing. You said that the Crossbreed is $100... The one you have displayed here is Horse hide leather with a combat cut. with those two 'extras' you are running close to 100 yes... but if you just get cow hide with out the combat cut you are looking at a price that is pretty much on par with the $67 of the Galco ($69.70 to be precise). Sorta harsh of you to do a price comparison when you are showing off the 'top of the line model' of the cross breed to the average Galco ($60ish as well)
I have the galco king tuk for my g27. Awesome! I have tried dozens of holsters, not one yet has been this comfortable. Excellent craftsmanship and in my opinion better than the crossbreed. But that's just my opinion. Thanks
@roughneckinit crossbreed does not own the patent on the design that's their problem, I am glad that other companies can come in and help keep prices down on gougers! Crossbreed is hype "name brand" thats all!
@poisonstinger its just like a 1911 with carried barrel lengths. They are all the same design. If he you ordered the crossbreed for glock you could have one for various pistols.
Interesting vid. I haven't tried this particular model of Galco, but I have 2 crossbreeds. I love them. Both are great companies. I ordered 2 crossbreeds and they only took about a week to get.
Great video. Interesting comparisons. I think you would be interested to check out the MaxTuck holster as well. I work for the company that makes them, White Hat Holsters in Texas. Similar design, price comparable to the KingTuk, handmade like the Crossbreed, but the kydex is interchangeable. Also there is a video of the MaxTuck discussion on the KingTuk. Id like to get your input on that. You can find them at MaxTuck . com as well if you like. Thanks for the video and your insight.
