  • I remember seeing the wonderful Dave Van Ronk and someone in the audience referred to him as a great blues singer, Dave stopped and said "no ma'am I'm just a singer who sometimes sings a blues, Johnny Hammond now he's a real blues singer".. damn it that's good enough for me.
