Yes, healthcare is the number one cause of financial hardship but that doesn't mean anyone dies because of it. It is illegal for doctors to refuse service because someone doesn't have enough coverage. If a person doesn't go to the doctor because they don't have coverage that's on them, not the system.

Also, my wrestling coaches son got treated for gangreen without insurance at a catholic hospital, also without insurance, and they billed him $12000. That's how healthcare in America really works.

The US doesn't have the highest standard of living in the world. The are several countries (all in Europe) who have a better standard of living and they are Luxembourg, Norway, Switzerland, Denmark, Ireland, Iceland, Sweden, France, Austria and the Netherlands.

And the few that are better are not all in Europe, Qatar and UAE are in the Middle East for example. Luxembourg has 20 000 people, and all the others are very small or have big oil reserves, like Norway. That's relevant.

In plenty of other rankings, eg Income Inequality, Infant Mortality, Life Expectancy, Crime and Advanced Human Development. In fact in PPP per hour worked, the US is below all the countries I mentioned above. The US does have a high standard of living, but there are many other countries that the US could learn from.

Hannity is using totally flawed (and typical conservative) logic. His math is totally wrong. He does NOT pay 60% in tax. When you buy a fridge and pay 3% local tax + 8% state tax - that's 11% tax. You can't add that to your IRS income tax and say you pay +11% in income. His tax bracket might be around 36% for his income. Retail purchases don't add 11% to his income tax (ie. total: 47% of his income). Things are taxed differently, some things not taxed at all.

Yes, healthcare is the number one cause of financial hardship but that doesn't mean anyone dies because of it. It is illegal for doctors to refuse service because someone doesn't have enough coverage. If a person doesn't go to the doctor because they don't have coverage that's on them, not the system.

Also, my wrestling coaches son got treated for gangreen without insurance at a catholic hospital, also without insurance, and they billed him $12000. That's how healthcare in America really works.

I know too many people without insurance that also have cable, smart phones, netflix accounts, smoking habits, etc, etc. Plus, NOBODY is denied emergency treatment when they need it at ANY hospital. I get along just fine too...and no...I am not rich. Very, VERY far from it.

And the few that are better are not all in Europe, Qatar and UAE are in the Middle East for example. The USA are the only country with more than 100 million people that have $50 000 gdp per capita in the world. Luxembourg has 20 000 people, and all the others are very small or have big oil reserves, like Norway. That's relevant.

In plenty of other rankings, eg Income Inequality, Infant Mortality, Life Expectancy, Crime and Advanced Human Development. In fact in PPP per hour worked, the US is below all the countries I mentioned above. The US does have a high standard of living, but there are many other countries that the US could learn from.

Taxes are the most inefficient way to help the poor - in 2005, the government spent $440 billion for 2.2 million welfare recipients - that comes to $220,000 per recipient. Obviously most of that was spent on bureaucrat salaries. The average charity has 15% in overhead.

Hannity is using totally flawed (and typical conservative) logic. His math is totally wrong. He does NOT pay 60% in tax. When you buy a fridge and pay 3% local tax + 8% state tax - that's 11% tax. You can't add that to your IRS income tax and say you pay +11% in income. His tax bracket might be around 36% for his income. Retail purchases don't add 11% to his income tax (ie. total: 47% of his income). Things are taxed differently, some things not taxed at all.

@kevinwayte If Hannity made $1 million dollars last year, and when he adds up all the taxes he paid, including sales tax, state income tax, etc - if the total amount of taxes he paid was $600k, then he paid 60% of his income in taxes. That's not conservative logic, that's logic.

This is usually how Moore corners his opponents. Hannity turned Moore's own tables on him. Btw I do believe hannity's claim about taxes. In New York the top 10% of the salary range (it's about $350,000 and above I believe) legally have to pay 55% of their income in taxes. Plus Hannity also has to pay corporate taxes if he runs his own crew and business...

I didn't say anything about Hannity lying about how much he is paying in taxes. I was referring to the number of times that Hannity says something in this vid, and others, that is flat out untrue or a complete fallacy.
Hannity happily defends the government when that government is run by Republicans, but when the Democrats get in charge all of a sudden Hannity is anti-government. He is a hypocrite.
