My dad and bro went in the middle of the day and me and my mom stayed outside and waited... my dad told the guy who scares you my name and told him go run to the window and yell it at me lol i love my dad
okay, having just came back from my honeymoon at gatlinburg, I must say that the Ripley's Haunted Adventure was very disappointing. The scares were too few (the slime monster was cool) and too few of the monsters did anything. Too much repetition of the same forced air sound and it became very mundane. Did not go to the mysterious mansion but intend to go back and hopefully they mix it up a little so that it will still be scary.
@ Olmec1995 Whatever man you tourist are dumb as doornails and have zero respect. How dare you make fun of the wonderful stuff in our town like the Ripley's attractions.
@ragincajunstud Hate to break it to you, but almost everyone that's commented agrees with Olmec. Oh and Ripley's is a national chain (a dime a dozen) so what exactly is your point about respect? The Mysterious Mansion was built in Gatlinburg. If anything you should be more proud of a stand alone establishment in your quaint little town. I'd bet money you're a Ripley's employee that couldn't get a job at MM.
ive been inside with my friend it was scary and awsome but i didnt have my ipod because that is what i record my vids. with but no one makes the full thing
This place was better than Ripleys! I hated it at Ripleys when you had to walk in a line with some random person's hand on your shoulder and you had to have your hand on the person in front of you. I also hated the part where they had fans blowing some black cloth in close to you so you had to squeeze thru it.
I went to the Haunted Mansion on my birthday and the people that worked there were saying my name. It freaked me out until I found out that my dad told them my name!!!
It's ok. The people inside are so nice that they inform the "actors" to tone it down for young ones via walkie talkies. We even had our picture taken with the scary man. The children loved it.
omg i went in there it was pretty fun 1 guy climbed the wall that was awsome. and if your gonna go there make shure you go in the mysterous mansion cuz that was awsome
that's what i heard...btw i just went in the haunted house last week!! It was brilliant!! It was definately the scariest one i've been in, they did great setting it up. (One of my friends that went with me actually crapped their pants!! hahaha...
it is true, the Gatlinburg towers, a 7 year old girl fell from the balcony and weeks before the death anniversary you can see her crying and pointing to the balcony she fell from. I've been going to Gatlinburg for 17 years
i loved it my mom almost had a heart attack...i like it better than ripleys because ripleys sends you in with other groups and makes you friggen hold hands but this one gave you a sense of isolation cuz i only went in with my mom and dad and the fireplace was cool i looked everywhere for the secret passageway an actor had to look through the picture with the cut out eyes and tell us THROUGH THE FIREPLACE in a scary voice which was scary cuz he was looking at me for like ten minutes
Its not that bad we went on our honeymoon. Its like 35 for 2 people lasting bout 10 minutes. We got to talk to the people who run it and scare u they are nice people. Not scary
Come on goddamnit, someone entertain my nostalgic fetish here...noone wants to converse about an old tourist trap? I know somewhere out there, there has to be someone who digs this shit as much as I do.
something "really mysterious about the house's structure, there are crawl spaces" attic rooms, that serve NO purpose to actors ,managers, employee's in general, or storage room, " THERE's NOTHING in there. IN FACT:you are told "NOT to go in them" on account of being employed. Joe STOP'D working there for little over a year, and wouldn't go back, not even to meet up with some of the old chums that work there. . .. because of what he felt "come from behind the book case". ripley's sux. "cheers
Myserious Mansion in Gatlinburg, TN has been there since 1980. It's a year older than i am, and every year i go, i still haven't been in there, but am fanscinated with it. I drew a picture of it in the 7th grade & got an A on it. I'm a fan of this old attraction in Gatlinburg, but have never been in it, crazy huh? lol Spook houses make me jumpy, too jumpy, but it's the look that i love that's different from other haunted houses...looks "mysterious" from the outside.
I have been infatuatued with this thing since I was 3 or 4.
Been through it a million times and sadly the only time it was worth it was in the late 80's.
Now the only thing it has going for it is atmosphere and nostalgia...it's still deepy rooted into my personality though if that makes any sense at all.
Odd fact, there is an almost carbon copy of this attraction at a amusment park in Panama City...layout is identical.
This damn place is scary as hell! I went through by myself when I was 9 or 10. I didn't really understand what I was getting into; I thought it was another wax museum-type place (it was also daytime so the exterior wasn't so ominous. These kids in their twenties were in there too but they ran back out the front door after the 1st room so I had to go through alone! I vaguely remember hauling ass through one of those rooms that turns upside down and then flying out the exit - finally!
Just went through and was impressed and dissipointed at the same time.

Mysterious Mansion sucks. 5 minute tour with 5 minutes of cheap thrills and boredom. Gatlinburg needs a real haunted house.

You know the hotel beside the place? I heard it was haunted...cos some 7 year old girl got killed. Idk how much of that is true though.
And I'm going to Gatlinburg next month, so this will definately be somewhere I visit!
