@CyberLance26 You make an excellent point. I happen to be a huge lover/appreciator of other countries. I think the the term "weeaboo" isn't targeted towards ALL Japanese lovers. People who fall underneath this category don't generally like Japan as a whole, but only like the fact that it makes anime/Jpop/Jrock/etc. From personal experiences, these people (not all) tend to be offensive; they refuse to know nothing about actual Japanese history and culture, ONLY said things above.

@CyberLance26 Yeah, I got made fun of in school for liking anime and Jpop, etc. I've done some thinking, and ultimately I think what the biggest difference is not what they appreciate, but rather how they go on about doing it. The people I knew who were considered "weeaboos" were very rude, melo-dramatic, and persistent. They were like those extremely religious people who tried to shove their beliefs down people's throats and tell people they were going to hell for not following their religion.

I remember a Japanese friend telling me that he didn't like it when I spoke Japanese. This was back when I was in that so called "weeaboo" stage and only used "anime" words like "kawaii," "baka," and "desu." After that, I began learning Japanese seriously, and my Japanese friends started looking at me in a new light.
