Bobby pins ,yes, that IS what they are! And that is not medium lenght hair! Very Messy, cross them yes then put one pin crossed down from the top and it will be less loose hair.

also slightly tease the base before pinning and the hair won't slip out as much! people like to have it slightly tighter so it stays in while dancing and moving about not just for five minutes!
