  • Thomas Jefferson was a coward, he didn't know shit about freedom, If the British would have done just a fraction of what slave holder where doing to black families he would have know what all men created equal means. his problem was he was to worried about raping young 15 year old black girls. Sexual pervert

  • wait.. but what about the natives?

  • The ironic thing is that Jefferson's portrait is on a fiat paper currency issued by a private central bank.

  • Fun fact. Thomas Jefferson was opposed to capitalism.

    Capitalism is not Free Market.

Free Market is a system of trade.

Capitalism is a system of ownership in which employers own the product of other people's labor.

Thomas Jefferson wanted a nation of independents, people who would work with others, but never for others. He believed that this was necessary to keep America free and independent.

  • @Laughingblades

The word "capitalism" didn't exist in Jefferson's day. He WAS in favor of **true free markets because these are the natural system of exchange of money and goods humans have employed successfully for 1000's of years.

What he opposed was *corporatism where central banks are created for the purpose of propping up, bailing out & perpetuating large well connected corporations against the less well connected. But he didn't oppose the concept of money so long as it was sound money.

  • @RonPaulRevolution4u Capitalism as a business model predates the existence of the word capitalism.

Free Market is not capitalism. Free Markets do not require capitalism nor does capitalism guarantee a free market.

The word Corporatism also did not exist in Thomas Jefferson's time.

Thomas Jefferson was opposed to people working under the employ of others (Capitalism) and favored an America where people worked with others, not for others. Your views are more in line with Alexander Hamilton.

  • @Laughingblades

Jefferson did NOT oppose the concept of one employing/being employed. And as you said, he didn't oppose the acquisition of capital & liked free markets. Nor did he oppose property, in fact believed that government should protect property rights. All of these are tenants of *true free market capitalism. Marx opposed all of these things (he opposed property, acquisition of capital, & free markets and called all of these "capitalism")

The problem: *Corporatism is what he have now

  • @RonPaulRevolution4u Yes in fact he did why don't you research it a bit more kiddo. Jefferson knew that the employer/employee dynamic would lead to the continual acquisition of wealth and power by the employers, this is what Alexander Hamilton argued in fact, it would create a ruling class, which Thomas Jefferson opposed.

And no Capitalism does not guarantee a free market nor does it require one, all capitalism requires is protection of it's property scheme and the ability to trade goods.

  • @Laughingblades

    I'm 46

No. Jefferson OPPOSED Hamilton on the central bank. He believed it would prop up large well connected corporations against smaller less connected corporations (which it did and does today!!)

Jefferson NEVER opposed the concept of employment/ being employed (employed people himself - some, sadly, not for pay - though in his conscience knew slavery was wrong). Nor did he ever endorse gov. imposed equality of wealth, but did champion equal natural born *rights under law.

  • @RonPaulRevolution4u Too old to learn eh? Why don't you read Thomas Jefferson's letter to Dr. Thomas Cooper, it might educate you a little...

No you won't do that, you are fixated ONLY on the central bank, you refuse to look beyond that. You are content to employ Capitalist Apologetics, you must ignore anything Thomas Jefferson ever said that was opposed to the wage labor system you defend as if it were freedom.

Yes, he did, learn something old man.

  • @Laughingblades

No, I'm never too old to learn, but am offended by your condescending tone.

My recollection of that letter is that it had to do with a wall between Church and State, which has often been used to refute religious conservatives. I read several books on Jefferson years ago & recall no mention in any of any opposition to employment. Humans have practiced employment for 1000's of years and is natural in human affairs. Jefferson himself employed. It is a pillar of civilization.

  • @RonPaulRevolution4u Not sure why u mad but you seem a touch senile maybe you should refresh your waning memory by reading it since it said nothing of Church and State.

  • @Laughingblades

I'm looking for the letter you mention. There might be several that he and Dr. Cooper wrote back and forth. It is my bedtime now and so I will get back on this tomorrow.

  • @RonPaulRevolution4u Look for the one that he wrote after the burning of the Capital, you know, the one pertaining to the conversation :p

  • @Laughingblades

Before I go: You're certainly correct that Jefferson opposed a ruling class and the unfair accumulation of wealth by them. THIS is why he opposed a central bank. He knew that well connected individuals and corporations would be artificially fed and propped up, then perpetuated, and also that a cent. bank could artificially manipulate interest rates plus that by artificially inflating/deflating of money end up distorting market conditions in favor these connected elites as well.

  • @RonPaulRevolution4u Bro it wasn't just the central brank you gotta get over your obsession with that. In Thomas Jefferson's time England was divided between rich and poor, the capitalists had everything, the laborers struggled to make enough money to survive, and the paupers were often homeless and starving.

Alexander Hamilton defended this system, arguing that a system in which employers hired employees would have more wealth and a ruling class. Thomas Jefferson favored worker independence.

  • @RonPaulRevolution4u Here's one of Jefferson's quotes against Wage Labor, if you need an example.

"And with the laborers of England generally, does not the moral coercion of want subject their will as despotically to that of their employer, as the physical constraint does the soldier, the seaman, or the slave? "

He had many more, his arguments against capitalism would be legendary if we didn't live in a society full of capitalist propaganda (like the free market bs you spew) and censorship.

  • @RonPaulRevolution4u Also, I never said Jefferson opposed money, I said he opposed capitalism. Not capital, capitalism.

  • @Laughingblades

He opposed central bank cronyism but free markets ARE capitalism.

"If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around the banks will deprive the people of all property until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered. The issuing power should be taken from the banks and restored to the people, to whom it properly belongs."

  • @RonPaulRevolution4u No bro, Capitalism is a system of ownership, a free market is a system of trade. Your tid bit about the central bank is irrelevant to this discussion.

Capitalism is not a free market, capitalism is when an employer owns the work place and means of production, there are other free market business models, such as autonomous labor, or cooperative companies, hell even corporations can be free market and they don't require government support they're just corrupted the government

  • @RonPaulRevolution4u Now bro, do a little research before spouting more uninformed capitalist apologetics. Thomas Jefferson opposed Alexander Hamilton's vision of America. Alexander Hamilton wanted an America where people worked under the employment of others, to create more wealth and a ruling class, Thomas Jefferson wanted an America where the workers were free and independent, working with others, but never for others.

You support Hamilton's vision of America, not Jefferson's.

  • The talk, not the walk. Sally Hemmings, child rape, treated like property. Her children by him were not freed at his death. His over-reaching arrogance and sence of privilage, reminds of g w bush. Monticello, the leaky roof was in the design. He was adicted to wine and opium. He looked for charity to rescue him from bankruptcy

  • Tommy gotta have it!

  • rainbow has a point.

  • rqainbow has a point.

  • Remember, don't argue with the inmates.

  • Great documentary, thanks for posting.

  • awesome TJ video.. I learned alot!! thanks

  • Thomas Jefferson is my favorite president and founding father. :)

  • @Rainbowtardiful your fav president paid for a ton of Europeans to be slaughter by buying the Louisiana purchase

  • @kookieless Paid Napoleon for Louisiana Purchase and that funded Napoleons campaign for domination. Yeah Thomas Jefferson was completely at fault for that makes so much sense. It's not like people have ever died or anything until Thomas Jefferson bought Louisiana Purchase oh and just to show how ridiculous this reply is did you know without Queen Elizabeth our New England(and future America) would never have existed so she would be in the same boat as Thomas Jefferson can you go die now?

  • @Rainbowtardiful he paid napoleon 4 million dollars after he lost a war in i believe haiti and he lost hope in reigning in america btw the war lasted for 1803-1815 which made my statement that he gave napoleon money why would i die if i can prove the satanic like faults of the amired cunts of america

  • @kookieless Satanic? Oh what the fuck. "amired"? What? If you don't speak english get a translator and reply that again and your strange arguement that had barely to no point didn't make any sense you asked why would you die? Did you like in times of 1803-1815? Thomas Jefferson bought the Louisiana Purchase and that expanded the U.S. good for us. Napoleon used the money to fund his military endeavors, so he left America. What did Thomas Jefferson do? Oh apparently he killed a ton of europeans.

  • @Rainbowtardiful you would of fucking gotten the land later if u didn't pay for millions to die and to increase the war time he paid a fucking cunt to go killed people in exchange for greedly land

  • @kookieless Napoleon Bonaparte came to power in 1804 the Louisiana Purchase was sold in 1803 before he came to power as Emperor, besides he was already at war with Great Britain back then war between Europeans was often and frequent and even before then war has always been apart of history, Thomas Jefferson probably didn't know of Napoleons destiny of creating a French Empire thinking Thomas Jefferson is responsible for Napoleons actions is beyond ridiculous talk.

  • @kookieless And the Louisiana Purchase was to be taken by force from the French, but there were disputes between what borders with the Spain and what not, however, Thomas Jefferson bought the land from the French. What is your nationality anyways? Thomas Jefferson is a respectable and admirable figure of history, I don't see how he is at all at fault for the Napoleonic wars in Europe that was completely Napoleons own doing. Your ignorance is your own shortcoming. Go read a book or kill yourself.

  • @Rainbowtardiful look u fucking emo bitch i am fucking american but am also anti american ignorance is not my problem

  • @kookieless I'm not emo I shaved all my hair off, just never changed the pic you fucking idiot. And if you're an "American" what is with hate against the man who wrote the Declaration of Independence? Ignorance isn't your problem? Well, you have plenty of ignorance dummy. Can you please kill yourself? PLEASE! FFS people like you need to die it would make this world a lot better.

  • @Rainbowtardiful so your a skin head btw how is me dying a guy who hates the man who paid a guy to destroy my ancestor's home gonna help the world

  • @kookieless Exactly this is why you should die, because you are completely ignorant and dying would make the gene pool cleaner. :) And your ancestors? Yeah right, if you were French or Prussian or anything your ancestors came to America and had a family and eventually resulted to you. You have no direct lineage to any European heritage.

  • @Rainbowtardiful how am i ignorant (this time give me a direct smart response)

  • @kookieless I don't have to because anything I say won't change your ignorance and here is a happy thought if Napoleon killed tons of Europeans that are (supposing you have any direct links to) in your family tree don't you think you would not exist now? So it didn't affect you as a person. Plus Napoleon was conquering for his empire he wasn't insane like Hitler when he killed 6 million jews, all of that "slaughter" could have been avoided if they surrendered which they didn't, which is good.

  • I just spoke with a liberal that says Thomas Jefferson was a liberal and supported government owned corporations....talk about drinking the kool aid.

  • Cara esse loko fez so maldade no nosso pais vejam a verdade quem foi Thomas Jefferson.

  • This music is way too loud for the rest of the audio. Frigging woke the wife up!!!

  • manmachine... you are correct it was in fact andrew jackson but although jackson did do some unsavory things he also shut down the national bank and warned of the new menace to america... monopolies a.k.a. corporations. I'm paraphrasing but I believe he made a dire warning predicting the hell we would face if these entities were allowed to prevail in the u.s.... eerie, huh?

  • thank u so much for making this this is great now i can get a good grade on my reserch

  • "Thomas Jefferson was a pussy"

    -Charlie Sheen

  • Someone that would classified as modern day Thomas Jefferson would probably be the great Michael Savage

  • Thomas Jefferson is an example of why having heroes makes no sense. We should study those who came before us, examine their faults and triumphs, in order to become better people ourselves. Thomas Jefferson was both a gifted intellectual and a immoral cretin. I guess we all are, on some level, and must continue to perfect personally.

  • The man have gazillion children. Why do they keep portray "the Founding Fathers" as immortal? So you see, when you died, the world only remember you for your good deeds.

And all of them owned slaves and raped their maids. If you lived in New England, and you traced your blood line to one of these icons, be prepared to find out the truth about your female ancestor. It is sad but harsh truth of life.

Please don't pull a Kennedy on me. I just bought a Prius. Lol.

  • thomas jefferson was an amazing president! Without him there wouldn't have been the lewis and clark expedition . there also wouldn't have the louisiana purchase either

  • NAtive american Genicide . I think the documentary , forgot about that !!!

  • @manmachine30 I don't think that was Jefferson who did that ... Look up Andrew Jackson ... If my memory serves me right, Andrew Jackson was the president who broke the treaty we had signed with the native Americans, not Jefferson..

  • @ntxnancy. Damm right !!!! the expancion of the new territory for the "American man". But they forgot about the other human race. And im sick and tired of hearing about Freedom and liberty, that we love to promote around the world. But no freedom or liberty for the natives. Big fucking deal!!!!!

  • then by serving as a member of the federal government he ended up acting in a manner he would have detested during the rest of his life. His presidency was a scourge on an otherwise admirable legacy. The native americans fighting for their way of life were at least if not more sympethetic than the revolutionaries were.

  • thomas jefferson was the most influential founder of the US and arguably the most accomplished overall, but he was a lousy president and maybe should have refrained from holding office. Think about it, he always identified most with being a statesmen and regionalist, believing in state rights and rights of colonies, advocating the right of anybody to rise up against any overbearing tyranical force,

  • Does anyone know of any good material to look at i am doing 5 page report on reviewing thomas jefferson as a president thnks

  • Thank you! I am a teacher in a foreign country and I am teaching Thomas Jefferson tonight in class. Great cumilation of photos and information, and all in 4 mintues. Very informative and visual. They will enjoy this video as I have.

p.s. the music scared me too!

  • No problem. Happy to help others. If you need any more videos about Presidents, let me know.

  • @Zzebbrayfilms this video failed to mention that thomas Jefferson Warned us about Private Banks which basically have all the power in our country today "Private banks are more dangerous than standing armies"-Thomas Jefferson.

  • @2012knightstemplar stop the central banks. end the fed. save America.

  • @Hannanstl Ron Paul?

  • @2012knightstemplar did u mention he paid for Napoleon Bonaparte to slaughter a large number of Europeans

  • What's up with the music at the end! It scared the crap out of me.

  • Sorry about that.
